Pretty rooms and the chance of good faciliies. The staff invited us for a breakfast one day wich was really surprising as it is an all inclusive hotel. They took 3 hours from our life to sell a Melia Group vacation right for only 175.000USD. does not worth it??? We had to call every day for cleaning of our room. In these quite expensive rooms we had to wait 5-10 minutes for warm water. Otherwise everything was cool...
Good seaside view. Nice big beautiful room (I had platinum suite). About 10 different tipes of fresh juices for the breakfast. The room was full of mosquitos! Was impossible to sleep. The food at the restaurant was really too salt. Some of the items were impossible to eat.
Some of the staff tries to do their best but they are poorly trained, hotel is understaffed, inconsistent with services provided from one day to the next, ie cleaning rooms. Maybe a 3* hotel, not more!! Bar service was poor (except Serapio) and premium alcohol was hidden for those who have a right to it and one had to constantly ask for premium alcohol to be used in drinks - answer was sometimes "I don't have any". Food was mediocre and there was no variety. The beach bar was not open, restaurants were open arbitrarily when they felt like it (not every night), meals were not served as we were told - no breakfast at all at the restaurant by the beach. My companion got food poisoning on our last day - the manager (Diana) refused to take responsibility for this and had an attitude. Additionally, the sister hotels were not accessible to us (renovation??) and the VIP beds were occupied by people who should not be using them. Dissapointing

Das von uns gebuchte zimmer über ihre plattform war äusserst schlecht und entsprach nicht ihren beschreibungen und bildern. Wir haben ins resort des resort gewechselt ins reserve, da waren die Zimmer absolut schön und luxeriös, so wie wir es nach ihrer beschreibungen/bilder erwartet haben aber die Preise einiges höher wir haben 100 dollar pro nacht mehr bezahlt. Das hotel ist zu alt. Die anlage sehr schön (garten etc.) aber die zimmer etwas schmudelig (schmutzig und alt), das resort im resort the reserve entspricht den Erwartung ist einfach teuerer.
Essen, Hotel und Strand alles 1a! All Inclusive groß geschrieben! Inkl. Tauchen und Catameran usw.! Sehr zu empfehlen! Dass man sich sehr leicht zu tote Essen kann :-) Auch mit Hummer!

Relaxing on the beach, loads of different restaurants, Casino & Pool and Beach Bars. The sunbeds by the pool were always reserved even although there was a sign stating that you cannot reserve any beds. The majority of people staying at this hotel are Spanish. For English speaking people wanting to meet lots of new people I would not recommend.
The poll are a was lovely and very relaxing. Good variety in the restaurants although food was often not as hot as it could have been. Overall, I would say this was a four star not five star hotel.

The entire resort was amazing, hard for me to explain how beautiful this resort is. Very clean and well kept. The staff was very nice and professional. Definitely a great place to go if you want to relax and just get away. This was my first time in Punta Cana, and I will return to this resort again before year end. The free Wi-Fi outside the room was a plus, you had signal everywhere. The food was better than I expected, there are a lot of restaurants (Options) to choose from. The best part is that you can eat at the sister resort as well, not reservations needed for any of them. Best vacation so far to the Dominican Republic. The water pressure in the room was low later in the day (but I understand, being Dominican myself, that they try to conserve water). And I had some issues with the Wi-Fi signal in my room, outside worked great.

Very nice pools, sizeable clean rooms, friendly staff, pretty grounds. Tried to charge more than we booked for; problem getting adjoining rooms; seaweed-filled ocean; mediocre food and slow waitstaff, zero entertainment on the Royal side. A bit dull.
Food was actually incredible; it was almost the highlight of the trip! Staff was superbly friendly, and all the decor of the lounge areas and restaurants was splendidly top-notch. Will definitely be returning on my next trip to the DR! That I had to leave! =]
When we arrived they had no reservation for us. They claimed we were booked at the catalonia bavaro not the royal. Our friends that booked with us had a room waiting. I showed them my receipt that clearly stated catalonia royal bavaro. We waited and waited for hours until we were given a room, only to have to move to three rooms until we had a room that the air conditioner worked. Now it's 2am and we are tired. We came to celebrate our anniversary and mentioned it to the front desk when we checked in. I also sent an email to the hotel. We also brought 2 other couples with us to celebrate. Nobody cares. The food was horrible. The pool was chipping paint. Tiles at the pool were broken. The personal service was terrible. We travel around the world and this was the worst I have seen. I can keep going but what's the point!
Very good hotel for its price. Delicious all-inclusive meal at plenty of restaraunts.Nice pools, beach is not over-crouded. Staff is friendly, but sometime it takes time to get understanding of what you really want :) 1) Only one car rental in the hotel (Prestige rent-a-car) with not good service (the longest and complicated procedure of getting car rented I ever had!). Although prices are a little bit lower then Europcar and Avis in Bavaro. 2) Stupid system of 200$ limit when you want to pay by charging the room. 3) Very shallow ocean on the beach.
Super Zimmer, technisch und vom Wohlfühlen her auf bestem Niveau. Große und sehr gepflegte Anlage; früher mal schöner Strand. Grauenhafte Zusammenballung verschiedener Hotels in einer Anlage. Strand verbaut und überfüllt. Mitarbeiter ineffizient, Serviceniveau schlecht. F&B teilweise erstklassig, teilweise unter jeder Kritik.
Junior Suite mit eigenem Jacuzzi Fitness (erst öffnung um 8.30, unzumutbare Geräte und nur offen bis 19 uhr, zudem sind die lausigen geräte nur 3 in der anzahl. Unter einem Fitness stellt man sich def. was anderes vor - Zudem ist der Service des Personals total ungenügend
I liked that the VIP section had their own private pool and members didn't have to make reservations. The food wasn't too good and got a few of us really sick.
Despite the problems with the room, the staff was very helpful. They had to switch my room twice. The first room smell like a smoking room . The second room had a real strong smell of mold. After going back and forth for 3 hours I finally got a nice room. The hotel was too far from the city of Punta Cana

Almost everything the food was great the drinks was also great the pool bar tender there are the best juan,jose and front dest carlo. It took 4 days to them to change the remote control for the tv if you want something to get done in your room they will take for ever.
Location was great Rooms were okay, we had to wait beyond check in when arriving, then there was no towels, we went to the beach and they were out of towels as well. There were crazy rust stains in our bathroom. The food was not that good (Fruit was amazing!) but I couldn't expect more for the price and it was included.
We loved the overall experience of the Resort. We had golf cart transportation all over the property and all the food and alcohol you could consume. Also for the guests of the Royal Suites we had access to top shelf liquor and swim up suites. The things that we did struggle with was the taste of the food and we also felt like the Resort was catering to the American way of eating instead of giving us the foods of the Dominican Culture. I also will say that when is comes to the rooms they are in need of new furniture you can see the wear and tear on them.

Sehr schönes Hotel, tolle Lage, alle Annehmlichkeiten, die man sich wünschen kann. Am verlängerten Wochenende in der Dom.Rep. sind sehr viele einheimische Gäste gekommen. Ab diesem Moment war das Hotel(personal) absolut überfordert. Wir wechselten dann in das Royal!

We loved the entertainment team, the service was amazing. Everyone was respectful and they made us feel at home. The shows they had every night were amazing, and very professional. There wasn't wifi everywhere, and the wifi in the lobby wasn't great. It limits is from contacting our family outside of the resort.

Hotel is fully consistent its price.Hotel rooms (especially bathrooms) need to be repaired. The beach is quite good, quite clean, sun beds and towels are enough. Animation at the hotel mainly for adults and focuses more on the Russian tourists,those are too much now in the hotel.The restaurant is open at almost all times. Also, the beach has a snack bar for 24 hours. In my opinion the hotel is not suitable for families with young children, it is more for adults. Also recommend to take a safe at reception. Better to take a room for 2 or 3 rd floor.
Amazing resort, but hands down the The staff definitely made this experience amazing! Super accommodating, eager to go above & beyond. Took my boyfriend for his birthday & he felt like a king. Jose Minaya was helpful the entire trip, he showed us around, was our personal driver & on the last day he even surprised us with a bottle of wine. On my boyfriends actual birthday while we were at dinner, the maids came in & decorated our room with rose petals, balloons, & set up the jacuzzi with bubbles with champagne waiting! Beautiful surprise. Out by the pool, we met Domingo, who was so friendly & escorted us to a personal bed by the water. He brought us drinks & even offered to bring us food. The property itself is beautiful & the experience was great, but hands down the staff went above & beyond! Very grateful Need More vegetarian food options at dinner
The food was excellent but in some restaurants it took too much time to get your food even though the restaurant was empty Some staff member suggested not to say I was a member of the US armed forces since the top leadership might think military members get too much discounts
The pool! I didn't like the room is was dirty! It has pests like roaches little lizards! The AC barley worked! And the Hot Water sucked! They had little ants on the bedside boards! I will never go to this place again! and the FOOD was horrible!

good food, nice environment, watersports included although we didn't know it was included until the day before we left.. they didn't inform us of these activities included..and additionally the watersport kiosk is located in a non visible area Air conditioning was not working for the first 2 days of our stay in any of the rooms, however after we decided to move to another hotel because it was too hot to sleep, we got a massage session for free, some fruits and a late checkout. Reservation for the specialty restaurants was full for the rest of the week and weekend even that we got to the hotel on Wednesday..
The price. But there wasnt enough to justify how much I paid. So it was a bad value. Dreams Punta Cana was a much better resort. I did not like the sometimes undercooked/raw food. Otherwise the food was never better than ok. I did not like the customer service and at times the staff was unprofessional. The first room we were given had a broken shower. The second room we went to had poor quality features. Low water pressure. Barely enough hot water. Uncomfortable bed. Seaweed covered beach. Had to pay for wifi. No real bar. Dreams punta cana resort is 20 minutes north is 50% more expensive, but 200% better quality. Dont go here. Its not worth it. If you do go youll see why.
The resort was clean all around. The staff were all very likable and I enjoyed talking to them. The room was (7220) was clean and spacious. It took me a night to get adjusted to the firmness of the king size bed. Television (32'') was small for the size of the room. A few issues with the room. The frosted glass door did not fully enclose the bath area. This allowed odors, noise and stem to travel outside of the bath area. Missing the door stop for the glass bathroom door. The exhaust vent in the bathroom was partially painted over with visible dirt buildup. Pools were clean and the beach and pool chairs were plentiful during peak times. Service was prompt and courteous. Some nightly entertainment was provided. The food in the buffet dining room did not appeal to me. Other than a family dinner the first night, I did not eat there for dinner again. Breakfast was not much better. I just made do with what they had. Plenty to choose, but the quality of food did not suit me.

We were there to celebrate our anniversary. The room was nicely set up with champagne, fruit, etc. Several food options. Friendly staff. Enjoyed the swim-up bar. Very comfortable "bed-style" lounges on the beach. The pool closes ridiculously early (6pm). Although the ones you were able to find were friendly, there was not a lot of staff around. It seems that unless you're in the Excellence Club (which costs more) you don't have anyone to help you with a beach chair or to take orders while you're on the beach. Had to set up our own pool and beach lounges, had to go into a room to get towel myself, etc. The facilities are a little shabby/worn. For example, the jacuzzi tub in our room appears to be pretty old.
This is one of the best resorts that I've ever been to. It was gorgeous, clean, and the staff was amazing. We already talked about returning next year.
The place was a higher quality than most of the resorts in Punta Cana but only slightly higher cost. It was clean, food seemed a little better and staff was friendly. As far as the all inclusive part, they could have more activities. Also I always hate dressing up in long pants and long sleeve shirt when it's 95° out (we were even told for one restaurant we needed a coat so we skipped it). For casual dining food is very limited. My biggest complaint is the beds flat out hurt. They room was beautiful but I couldnt get a good night sleep because the bed left my back in pain.
The beachfront location is beautiful. The grounds are very green and well kept. The pools are gorgeous. The staff is extemely friendly and very service oriented. They were always there to serve with a smile on their faces. There is a lot between the "ocean front" rooms and the ocean. We had a view of the BIG palapa over the pool bar and a little bit of ocean view on the side. Because we were right over the pool bar, there was a lot of noise as people hung out and drank at the pool all day. I would recommned a room away from the pool... however because the pool bar closed at 6 pm, the noise died down after that.

Beautiful resort and grounds. We had a swim out unit that was wonderful so we were right next to the pool. The staff was very helpful. The beds were very comfortable. I liked the beds because they did not have a pillow top. The restaurants were very good and you have lots of choices. We came to relax and that was what we did. One time my husband went to pick up his towel from his chair and take it back and the employee told him that was his job to put the towel in the laundry and my husband was on vacation and to enjoy it. We were very happy with our accommodations. They have activities if you chose to participate. The pool is like a long lagoon and the rooms surround it. We chose to be in the Excellence Club and felt it was worth the money. We were in Building 7 which was close to the restaurants, main lobby and pool so we liked the location. The sand on the beach is hard to walk on and your feet sink in. It is very fine sand and not packed down. The entertainment is good but not great but that is not what we came for. You have to reserve your pool chair early in the morning and some people would put towels down and never come the entire day. I think the staff should monitor that.
Service was excellent! Electrics issues with spotty power on last day prompted us to check out early. Food was decent but wish there were more space at the specialty restaurants.
Absolutely beautiful! The main pool was huge so there was so much space. The beach went on for miles and miles. They need a dehumidifier for some of the rooms.

Spa service was exceptional. Bars have a good selection of drinks, and the bartenders were friendly. The staff in general was very friendly and helpful. Bag delivery and delivery service could take a long time.

The elevator was broken and they said it had been for almost 2 months, the jacuzzi button was broken, mini bar was never refilled unless we called.
