Positiv:: The hostal is in an old historical building, so the bedroom still maintains the old traditional historical magnificent features. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. Each room has its own toilet and they are very clean. The street is very lively during the day, but very quiet at night, so I slept perfectly and the location is ideal.
Negativ:: The place has no room to offer breakfast, but there is a lovely coffee shop 1minute walk from there. There is no 24hrs reception, but the host gets in touch to organise check in and check out and is available for any need.

Positiv:: Great location right in the heart of old Toledo. A clean and comfortable room, if a little snug, but I get the feeling space is a premium in old Toledo. Best of all was the host Miguel who was possibly the most welcoming, helpful, and enthusiastic host I have ever encountered - thanks Miguel Angel!
Negativ:: The room would have been pretty tight if you had two suitcases. If you don't like stairs, request a lower floor room. There is no lift.

Positiv:: We had two rooms at La Posada de Zocodover for two nights. From the time we arrived until the morning we left, Miguel and his wife treated us like family. Every review I had read was correct. Their warmth and helpfulness turned this little hostel into a 5 star experience. The rooms are small but thoughtfully appointed with everything we needed. Although they do not serve breakfast they sent us a few doors away to La Pepa which was great, and Starbucks is right around the corner. The location was perfect. The first thing Miguel did when we checked in was to give us a map where he circled everything we should see and gave us restaurant suggestions. All were excellent.

Positiv:: Miguel and his wife warmly welcomed us in their hostal in the middle of beautiful historical Toledo. Miguel gave us map and showed us all places where to go/not to go and when. He recommended us café and restaurant, where he and locals go, food was delicious. Thanks to him we knew, where we wanna go, saved us time and money. Our room was perfect, super nice, super clean and quite. There was a small bow with candies, sorry Miguel we ate all chocolate. Our stay in Toledo was awesome, big part of it was thanks to our stay in this hostal. We are very much looking forward to come back.

Positiv:: Miguel and Gema are so welcoming and generous with their time and local information - all Miguel’s recommendations for sights and restaurants were great. It’s position right in the heart of old Toledo could not have been better - everything was within an easy, lovely walk. Whilst small, the perfectly quiet room was beautiful and traditionally furnished with a gorgeous enclosed balcony and a lovely outlook onto the cathedral and street below - perfect for people watching! Excellent, reliable WiFi and air conditioning. Room daily cleaned and stocked with toiletries, bottles of water and delicious little chocolates. A perfect home from home!

Positiv:: Miguel und seine Frau machen einen Superjob! Die Zimmer sind nicht sehr gross aber ausserordentlich geschmackvoll eingerichtet und werden jeden Tag sauber gemacht, was für ein Hostal nicht immer üblich ist. Auch bezüglich Informationen sind die beiden sehr hilfreich bezüglich Informationen für Sehenswürdigkeiten, aber auch Restaurants. Wir waren vier Tage im Hostal und haben uns da sehr wohl gefühlt.

Positiv:: Die Besitzer haben ihr Hostal sehr liebevoll und umsichtig eingerichtet. Außergewöhnliche Hilfsbereitschaft und Information des Gastgebers. Es ist ein altes Haus und damit sind die Zimmer nicht sehr groß, aber alles war optimal eingerichtet. Sehr schön.

Negativ:: Kein Frühstück und die Textilien im Zimmer rochen nach einem starken Duftstoff, für mich als Allergiker unangenehm! Das Bild des Bades stimmte nicht den eigentlichen Abmessungen überein. Also mehr Tauchbecken als Bad. Mit Privatauto kann man am Hotel nicht parken, wir mussten vom Parkhaus die Anreise mit dem Gepäck mit dem Taxi zum Hotel vornehmen und auch wieder zum Parkhaus zurück. 16 Euro Taxi und Parkhaus für zwei Tage 45 Euro. Man müsste vorher angeben, dass parken am Hotel nicht möglich ist und die Anfahrt ans Hotel durch die Altstadt fast unmöglich zu finden.

Positiv:: The fact that there was someone to check us in out of hours on a Sunday was really appreciated. I loved the quick response to all our emailed enquiries once we had booked - fantastic customer service. The welcome was marvellous, everything was explained well. We booked an overnight stay - I loved the room, very in keeping with the Arabic authenticity of the baths. The room was tastefully decorated with lots of moorish features which were very pretty. The room and bathroom were spacious, comfortable and clean. I particularly liked the tea coffee and extras provided in the fridge. Breakfast was delicious and well presented. The baths and sauna were amazing, we had them completely to ourselves. The tea service during the baths cycle was energising and refreshing. The exfoliating sessions and massage sessions were heavenly performed with such professionalism. All in all highly highly recommended.

Positiv:: Das arabische Bad ist sehr schön und die angebotene Massage (nicht kostenfreie Zusatzleistung) war auch gut. Das Bad ist offen für Übernachtungsgäste und Tagesgäste, dennoch war es jedenfalls im November unter der Woche recht leer. Auch deshalb war es sehr entspannend. Das Zimmer ist stilvoll eingerichtet passend zur Atmosphäre des Bads. Die Unterkunft liegt abseits der Haupttouristenströme und dennoch ist man schnell im Zentrum. Zur Kathedrale waren es keine 10 Minuten. Es gibt nur wenig Verkehr, weil das Zentrum von Toledo nur für authorisierte Fahrzeuge zugänglich ist. Mit Gepäck empfehle ich die Anreise mit dem Taxi. Es gibt fußläufig einige Restaurants unteschiedlicher Preisstufen. Das Essen im Clandestine hat mir sehr zugesagt.
Negativ:: Mit leichter Gehbehinderung ist Toledo vielleicht nicht der ideale Ort, Urlaub zu machen. Die Treppen in der Unterkunft sind teils ohne Geländer und die Stadt selbst ist auf einem Hügel gebaut. Es ist ein ständiges auf und ab. Das Zimmer selbst war ein wenig dunkel. Die Unterkunft bietet kein Frühstück dafür aber eine Kaffeemaschine und einen Wasserkocher im Vorraum zu den 5 Zimmern zur kostenlosen Verwendung. Leider wurde mein Besuch durch ein paar Reparaturmaßnahmen in dem Nachbarzimmer gestört. Es war teilweise recht laut, was aber vermutlich kein dauerhaftes Problem ist.

Positiv:: Everything was really nice during our stay! The room was absolutely beautiful and comfortable with lots of space and a pretty big bathroom as well! The location is really good. Maybe a bit tricky if you have heavy luggage but close to everything. The 1hour spa included in our reservation really helped us relax. Thank you for everything!

Positiv:: Very beautifully designed and comfortable rooms, clean and cosy. The location was very central walking distance to many places to visit. The price difinitly worth it as they included one hour Arabianbath. The staff were friendly.

Positiv:: The location was excellent! The hotel has been beautifully restored by the owners and the decor was lovely.
Negativ:: We drove from Madrid and finding the property was really difficult. There was no kettle in the room but the owner told us we could use the coffee machine in the breakfast area. We did this twice and was then scolded by a member of staff. When I was next going out I was again scolded by another staff member at reception. I felt very uncomfortable after this. Breakfast was basic and I feel for what was on offer (no teabags for 3 days) that the cost should be included in the room price. My husband’s complaint was he had to wake up the night receptionist to unlock the front door so that he could go for a run each morning. This added to the feeling that you were an unwanted guest in someone’s home.

Staff was great, particularly Nacho who made sure all was good and gave great recommendations for restaurants and tour. Really nice rooftop view of Toledo from hotel. Bonus was the nice breakfast included eggs, Jamon, fruits, sweet breads, yogurt, cereal, etc.

Positiv:: My wife and I stayed two nights. Great location immediately adjacent to the cathedral. Accommodation was where the cardinals resided in the past. Very old styled rooms which are wonderfully atmospheric with enough of the mod cons to be comfortable. Open the window and you are greeted with a nice view up the cobbled street. No lift so you will need to carry your bags up to your room. Nice breakfasts downstairs. Nice helpful staff. Getting to the accommodation with your car is very tricky but possible. Very narrow streets. After arriving and dropping bags and checking in, parking back down another narrow street to parking station. Town very interesting to walk around but quite up and down which you expect in hill top towns. Spectacular cathedral. Great restaurants.

Positiv:: I absolutely adored the view from my room- it looked right out onto the cathedral. I actually had not realized that the hotel had such amazing views until we arrived. In the past, the building was used as lodging for the cathedral’s priests; you can definitely feel the history around you. Also, there is a sweet rooftop patio that looks out over the city. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

Positiv:: The location was very convenient. Jose was very helpful in getting us a taxi the day we left. He patiently answered all of our questions when we arrived. The hotel is extremely clean. We had a triple room on the third floor. It was quiet, clean, and roomy enough for 3 people.

Negativ:: Slightly confusing entrance to the hostal through the store. After hours (when store is closed), the lift is only available from the first floor (since the ground floor lift is through the store).

Positiv:: The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. The beds were very firm and comfortable. The room was immaculately clean. The balcony was awesome for views and people watching. The location was ideal, close to everything but on the edge of the biggest tourist area.
Negativ:: Only minor things: The internet was spotty at times and it was a little noisy on Saturday night.

Positiv:: Convenient location in the "Jewish Quarter" off Calle San Tome which is one of the busier pedestrian streets, not far from the Cathedral, The people who run the hostal also run the La Campana restaurant on the ground floor. It was nice to have breakfast included in the low rate. Mainly a continental breakfast, but I appreciated the coffee and fresh juice. The room was small and basic, but had a nice view onto a small decorated courtyard (as opposed to the air shafts or laundry lines I was used to seeing during my trip at other budget lodgings). The bathroom was well-sized, and the shower had a rainforest shower head. Aircon worked and was welcome.
Negativ:: No elevator. You would need to walk up at least one flight of stairs to get to the rooms. While the wifi was free and reliable, it was fairly slow compared to other lodgings in Spain.

Positiv:: The location is great. Middle of everything. The staff was great and very helpful, though nobody spoke english. Was a little hard, but not an issue.
Negativ:: Issue was that there was no cup in the bathroom, so i had to use my hands to rinse while teeth brushing. Also, the bed was not comportable, but it maybe a matter of taste. Walls are thin, You can hear noises. Was not a problem, since there was not many people. But if the place was packed with tourists, it may be a problem

Positiv:: My third time in this hotel and the reason why I always stay here when in Toledo is the size of the rooms, great breakfast, nice pool area and great gym. And when it's a 5 star hotel, everything just works really well. If you need to work, even the basic rooms are huge and they have a good work desk with comfortable office chair.
Negativ:: Well the only minus is the location and it's a bit far from the old town. But that's no problem and taxis are really cheap and also the hotel has a free transfer bus time to time.

Positiv:: The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. We had massages in the spa and they were wonderfully relaxing. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming.
Negativ:: We had a non smoking room as requested however when we arrived it smelt of smoke and there was an ashtray with cigarette ends in it on our balcony. This was rectified immediately by staff however. It would have been good if there had been a smaller more intimate bar area - it is in the main atrium and is very impersonal. The pool area is lovely however missing some mosaic tiles.

If you are driving to the hotel the roads in the centre are very very very narrow, if you have a big car (we have a Mercedes E class) it is really tricky. Gold star to my husband for managing to negotiate the roads and for getting in and out of the car park.

Positiv:: We had an enjoyable stay here. The hallway was decorated with ceramic tile giving it a sense of the past. The location is right in the middle of the old town - busy during the day but very quiet at night. The rooftop patio is a real highlight especially at night with a view of the cathedral. The staff was friendly and helpful. One of them guided my husband in and out of the garage as it was a tight fit.
Negativ:: There could be more choices for breakfast instead of a set menu of a couple of things. Finding the place had its challenges because of the narrowness of the streets and the pedestrians walking in front of the car.

Positiv:: The hotel location has its ups and downs, it is a 20 minute walk from the city center but because of this and due to its high location, it had the most amazing view to the city. Breakfast was good, the room was very clean and they had a parking lot that you could use even after the checkout all free of charge.

Having had a long day travelling we decided to eat at this outdoor area. Unfortunately the menu and quality of the food was very poor , Service was mediocre at the best , It was as if the waiter was bored and did only what he had to do. Just let the hotel down. It might be slightly outside Toledo but a regular bus stop is just outside or a relatively downhill 15 min walk: depending on the heat haha. Lovely modern room and cracking shower. Will deffo return to Toledo and look to book here once more. (Big tip if arriving via the bus station. There are new escalators that take you up to the city saving a walk up in that heat)

Positiv:: Beautiful setting away from the hustle and bustle of Toledo tourism but walking is unrealistic especially in the summer heat. There is a bus service which stops at the door which I would recommend using. The room was modern, cool and clean. The receptionist who was there during our one night stay was incredibly helpful, warm and kind. Beautiful terrace to sit out in the evening with a drink. I can highly recommend this accommodation.
Negativ:: The food in the restaurant was quite basic and could have been better. I would have liked to eat on the terrace but that was not possible. I’m not sure why.

Positiv:: This is a fantastic hotel which whilst located a little away from the centre of Toledo affords beautiful views of the city itself. Unfortunately I only stayed one night but would have been happy to spend longer relaxing around the pool taking in the views.
Negativ:: The walk into town whilst not particularly long can add to an already strenuous day of exploring the ups and downs of the streets of Toledo. However I only feel this is an issue with the heat in the middle of summer.

Sehr gute Sauberkeit und ein durchweg freundliches Personal. Die Parkmöglichkeiten sind soweit gut organisiert und dem Preis innerhalb Ortes Toledo angemessen.
Negativ:: Aufgrund der allgemeinen sehr engen Straßen sind leider einige Zimmer sehr dunkel und ein wenig stickig. Die Zimmer sind leider sehr hellhörig was bei leichtem Schlaf als äußerst unangenehm empfunden werden kann - auch die normalen Zimmer sind recht klein. Leider sind die Zimmer somit nicht wirklich der Klasse würdig.

Positiv:: We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel. This is no exception as we think it is better to enjoy local cafes than spend a lot of money on breakfasts in hotels. We generally get much better coffee outside of hotels! The quality of the dinner we had was excellent - except for one mishap - see below.
Negativ:: Only one bottle of complementary water in our bedroom and only on the day of arrival. This is the first Marriott hotel where I haven't had two bottles every night of my stay, and I've stayed in lots of Marriotts. Also, although there weren't many guests in the bar or the restaurant, the barman had to double as waiter on one night, which wasn't very satisfactory. My pork fillet was ordered 'medium' but came 'blue' (very rare) - mistakes happen I guess.

Negativ:: When driving, hotel was very, very hard to find in oldest part of Toledo (took us 1-1/2 hrs.), with steep hills, one-way streets; people on the streets didn't know of the hotel, or didn't know where it is; or didn't know how to get there by car. GPS had nervous breakfdown. Parking in the nearby garage was expensive (17 euros/night). This was the only Spanish hotel of eight we stayed in that didn't have a computer for use of guests. They advertise a spa, but only a very small exercise room is available free to guests; you can pay for a massage or sauna.

Positiv:: Zunächst wurde uns ein kleines Zimmer unter dem Dach angeboten, das Platzangst auslöste, nachdem ich aber um ein größeres Zimmer bat, bekamen wir ein Zimmer, das von der Größe und Höhe des Raumes einem 5-Sterne-Hotel entspricht.
Negativ:: Das zuerst uns zugedachte Zimmer unter dem Dach war von der Quadratmeterzahl und auch von der Raumhöhe so klein, dass ich vermute, dies könnte bei Internetbuchern so gehandhabt werden, die einen günstigen Preis bezahlen.

Positiv:: Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut und praktisch, Parkplatz ist unproblematisch, die Küche ist ausgezeichnet.
Negativ:: Wir mussten das Zimmer wechseln, weil die Badezimmertür nicht zu schliessen war. Unser erstes Zimmer war ein nicht ordentlich geputztes behindertengerechtes aber ungemütliches Zimmer, aber anscheinend das einzige mit zwei Betten. Das zweite war dann zwar sauber und gemütlicher, aber es hatte nur ein 140 cm breites Ehebett!

Das Gebäude wurde im Jahr 2012 renoviert. Es befindet sich auf der Plaza Zocodover, Zentrum der Stadt. Zu Fuß erreichen wir die Alcázar und die Kathedrale. Auf dem Erdgeschoss und ersten Stock befindet sich die Rezeption, wo es im Hintergrund ein Brunnen aus dem XIV gibt. Jahrhundert, gegenüber dem Haupteingang, und auch eine Wand aus dem siebzehnten Jahrhundert. Das Hotel verfügt über Einzel-, Doppel-und Dreibettzimmer mit einem schönen modernen und funktionalen Einrichtung. Sie sind mit Minibar, Internetanschluss, Klimaanlage und einem Plasma-TV ausgestattet. Seine Lage auf dem Zocodover Platz, lädt zur erholsamen Zeitreise zu dem traditionellen und authentischen Toledo ein.

Negativ:: I found bedbugs,lice under my bedsheets on the 2nd night of stay.. No apologies from the personnel. The said it came in my luggage or it came when I opened the window in the morning The hotel should have done something about it..

Positiv:: I liked being close to the site-seeing spots. It was easy to access the hotel and we parked for a reduced fee in the nearby parking garage with hotel validation. It was super hot so it was great that hotel had air conditioning. Staff was friendly especially at the restaurant for breakfast. The room had a beautiful view but we had to pay a little extra for that(all that was left when we reserved).

Positiv:: Strategisch günstig wiederum ist die Lage generell am Eingang zum Stadtkern. Gute Anbindung zum Bahnhof. Wanderweg am Tajo gut erreichbar. Café / Restaurant im Hause.
Negativ:: Das Zimmer lag seitlich zur Hauptstraße. Deshalb war es teilweise etwas laut. Die Aussicht: na ja. Als Alleinreisender darf man nicht zuviel erwarten. 6

Positiv:: The staff could not have been more helpful. Their recommendations of what to see & do on such a flying visit, & of where to eat, were spot on. Brilliant!! Would stay here again at the drop of a hat.
Negativ:: Ordering breakfast was a bit difficult due to language barriers but did not make our stay any less enjoyable.

Positiv:: The location was excellent. We found the restaurant staff at breakfast to be especially efficient and friendly.
Negativ:: There should be a security safe in the room. Most good hotels provide a room safe nowadays.

Negativ:: Extremely bad sound isolation. We can hear every move behind the wall and even worse there was a kind of kitchen there.
