Negativ: "A couple things went wrong on this trip, my checked luggage got misplaced for a day, and a nice women in baggage claim told me what was happening and a nice man handled my claim and my bag has now been returned to me. The bigger thing is my flight bas delayed taking off by 3 hours. Let me start that I would rather have a part replaced on the runway then not, safety is paramount. The fact is my flight took off 3 hours late from London (VS11), and got to my destination (BOS) 2.5 hours late. Kudos to the flight crew for getting me to my destination faster by gaining a little time. Plus, since BOSTON was my final destination it was all fine this time. But if I had had to get home to the elder person I take care of or my teenager it would been a problem. Again, I'm annoyed, but I do understand the reasons and they are valid and preferred. I have heard that airlines to keep their flight rating high, wait for planes to leave the gate on time and then do repairs on the tarmac. If this is still a SOP for airlines you should change the way the statistics are collected and figure out a way of not perpetuating this type of disincentive. This is just hypothesis on my part, and my whole trip had little negatives."

Flying in "steerage" is not comfortable as humans get larger and airplane seats get squeezed smaller. Please unsqueeze! Cabin crew members were excellent. Other than that, Europe was great!"

The bin was only big enough for 1 backpack. 2 of the 3 of us in that row had to go 2 rows back to store our luggage. This is very inconvenient when deboarding because I have to wait for many others to pass before I get a chance to walk towards the back of the plane to get my luggage."

This then apparently meant that I was to be flagged for all subsequent flights. This meant that in Chicago, after going through two other security checks that day (Zurich and London) and completing customs, I had to engage in a full Homeland security check. This involved removing protective covers from my laptop and phone that were hard to get off (not meant to be taken off regularly) and a full body search that I did not have to do in London. After many hours of traveling, this was very a frustrating experience."
Negativ: "Did not know that we did not fly with British Airlines (as I had printed out before my first flight to Germany) was replaced with American Airlines. I lost valuable time at the airport and almost missed the flight. Chaotic and unexpected baggage problems before boarding to Dallas: the board luggage, same as we had on the way over, was not accepted and had to be checked in. Problem since we had to move laptop, etc. before the actual boarding. Attendants not as professional as they should be. Also seats were changed -- I was not able to sit with my daughter who regularly gets travel sickness. Overall not a good experience. But the worst: changing airlines and not being informed!!!!"

The inbound flight from Frankfurt to Newark was late by 1.45 hours since they were fixing a computer problem on board. The flight was totally over air-conditioned and when I asked to bring an extra blanket for me the flight attendant started lecturing me that I was wearing shorts and a polo shirt (in the 86F heat at FRA and EWR it was ok!) and that she had no blankets. The second flight attendant who for some reason came 2 miins after the first one apologized for the attitude of his female colleague and immediately brought me an extra blanket."

Flight attendants claimed to also not know what the situation was. They were kind and offered us water but couldn't clarify what was happening or how long we would be suffering. The "wifi" didn't work. There wasn't enough food, drink or snacks for everyone on the plane so those of us in the back got leftovers or fewer choices."
