Positiv: Price quoted on your site wildly misleading. I was quoted as 58 dollars turned out to be 350' I'll never ever trust your site hideous insurance of @ 50 a day not mentioned. Car and staff at LAP was fine but false quote is a scam. Furious really
Negativ: we reserved a car for 2 days in La Paz BCS, Mexico. when we checked in at ACE rentals there was no car available due to high demand during the Holy Week. We tried to get our money back but did not succeed. Calling Europe from mexico is not so simple with restricted cell phones.
Negativ: When we got to the rental office, we were told all of their vehicles were sold out. The disconnect between Kayak and the merchant needs to be fixed.
Much more expensive than advertised.Positiv: Easy to arrange and deal with.Negativ: Price was way too high and vastly more than originally advertised. Vehicle was advertised at $15/day. Our 8 day rental cost $844 total by the time all the additions of insurance, fees, exchange rates etc. were tacked on.

Positiv: The car was clean and pick up was easy.Negativ: There were about 5 options for insurance that I had to have the agent explain in English to me. One of the damage waiver insurance options was so much that it equaled the cost of $43 a day to rent the car, making the total to $86.
Positiv: the car worked, it got me from point A to B.Negativ: No walk-around was performed prior to taking off, which i should have done anyways because there were plenty of dents and scratches. when i returned the car, damages was charged to me that were previously there.
Scratched and poorly maintained carsPositiv: Car was ready on time. Car was swapped out when we came back for a problem.Negativ: Our first car had several scratches, to the point where I felt europcar doesn't maintain their cars and simply charges customers for scratches which they never repair. Secondly, our first car needed an oil change after we had only driven it 30km. The staff did provide us with a new car, but on this car the staff failed to put on a front license plate and didn't tell us this was a problem nor did they note this in the contract. Upon returning the car we were blamed for the missing front license plate until we produced photos showing it was gone already upon picking up the vehicle. Bad experience!!

Great prices Positiv: Smooth transaction, fast, clean car ready to go Negativ: everything work out great, the actual car price is cheap, the catch is the insurance but still a good one
No cars??? You can't be serious.Positiv: Gave up after 3 days calling and requesting resolution and was able to get one with Avis instead.
