Kayak booked me at the wrong location and Alamo did not accommodate Positiv: Car worked. Cost was fair. I was allowed to drop the car off at a different location due to Kayak's foul-up.Negativ: I booked through Kayak for an airport pickup, I did not know the street addresses in the town. Without warning me I was booked at a location downtown. Alamo did not allow me to switch to an airport pick up location. I had to uber to a different location at an extra cost and loss of time. The car I was given had been in an accident and had a significant amount of damage to the rear trunk - fortunately it opened ok. Overall C for Alamo, F for Kayak.

Positiv: We arrived at the airport with about 5 minutes before this location closed. I called ahead to ask if they'd stay open for a few extra minutes, and Shiree said that she'd be happy to do so. We were so pleased with the customer service! Shiree was also fantastic with maps and introducing us to Missoula.
Negativ: Car was not ready. Waited over an hour, then we were given a much larger car than we
wanted. Went back in to get a smaller car. We were told they didn't have any cars available, but the lot was full of cars they seemed clean and ready. Finally got one that worked out well.

Positiv: Size of car fit our needs perfectly. Sara was very nice and efficient when we picked up the car. Negativ: We expected a Subaru four wheel drive due to roads we knew we would be on during our trip but overall the car worked well for our needs.

She said personnel in Denver had mad a mistake on the numbers and since that was a different fleet she couldn't deal with i & we could not leave the car there.. I told her that was not my problem, that was Budget's problem. She said she would have her supervisor handle it but I was never contacted by her supervisor. I left the car I'm Missoula as agreed
Good rentalPositiv: Nice vehicle, enough space for 4 people and a lot of luggage. Fairly easy pick up but no one was in the parking lot when the vehicle was dropped off. Smaller airport so that might make sense. Staff was friendly and the vehicle was very clean.Negativ: Information on filling the vehicle up with gas - there was a $7.99 fill up fee but the gas was cheaper per gallon if filled by Budget. I was told that it would not make sense to fill the vehicle if it had less than 1/4 of a tank but when you take into account the fill up fee, you would have to use over 26 gallons of gas before it would be worth having Budget fill it up. The vehicle I had does not hold 26 gallons of gas even if it is empty.

Positiv: I dropped it off at 4:15am. Called the Missoula office the day before and was given instructions to leave the car in the Short Term Lot with keys and parking pass in the glovebox.
I haven't received my final statement yet, but I assume it will meet expectation.
Positiv: The pick-up process was quick and easy. The car had a full tank of gas which is always appreciated. The gentleman where I picked up the car gave me very clear directions on the drop-off process that made my departure easy.Negativ: No comment.

Positiv: When we arrived at the airport we called the front desk and they immediately sent someone to pick us up since the location is 10 minutes away. The gentleman that picked us up was very pleasant and helpful. He gave us some great recommendations for the area when we told him our plans. Fast and Friendly Positiv: Since we were arriving very late at night I understand that working in a customer service position can be difficult, the agent that check us out the vehicle was quick and courteous dispite the time of night. The vehicle was very clean and ready for us to leave with.Negativ: Due to the small nature of the airport the rental car lot is small and when you are trying to back a pickup truck out and not hit the other cars it can be a little difficult, same is true with returning vehicles.
Generally goodPositiv: Pick up was smooth in Missoula. They didn't mind that I dropped the car at the wrong San Francisco location.Negativ: The San Francisco location off third street is confusing to find. There was a pre-existing chip in the wind screen (at least it was logged).
Excellent Positiv: The service at the counter was speedy and the car they gave us was clean both inside and out. Had put on 2900 miles in 9 days and did not have a problem. Return was simple. I have never had a problem with the rentasl agency in Missoula, MT.
Negativ: issues with incorrect billing required repeated phone calls to both the rental desk in Missoula and National customer service to resolve. Do NOT use the key drop off.
