Signage could be betterNegativ: When you arrive, the list of off airport car rentals are listed on the round columns near the baggage claims. This was not very helpful as it was by chance to ran across it by walking to your bags. I think a uniform signage and location of where and what number the stall is that you'll find your ride. Once we found it, it wasn't long for the shuttle to arrive. Some folks were there up to 45 minutes waiting for the shuttle.

Manager Mike Hanson did a good job with price adjustment after original desk screwed up our rate.Negativ: Counter man 'Luke' lied to me and said I needed an expensive tollway pass. I informed him that the only toll road I would be on was the Bee Line 528 from their office to I-4. He said that I couldn't pay cash tolls on that road, which was clearly a lie. He want me to pay $9/per day, and then threatened that I would have a $25 fine for each time I went on a tollway. This was explained to his manager, who told me to write this review.
Positiv: Super easy everything! They reached out to me before my rental to ensure that I had read what I needed to bring - I see that many reviews saw "hidden" costs - but perhaps they just didn't review all of the terms and conditions. Great car! Great service! Great price! 10/10 would rent again!

Positiv: Skycap familiar with offsite shuttle locations. Other people were not so lucky as they indicated that it took them some time to fine the spot. Very smooth transition from airport to offsite location. Upgrade was added plus. Drop off and return to airport was outstanding. Early morning hours made for stress free drive time into Orlando. Will look to rent from ACE as I must travel to Orlando several times a year. Will address concerns in Section #2.Negativ: Was not informed that car would ony be held for two hours. Had I known I would have called as soon as the airline BEGAN to delay the flight. Did not understand why I had to pay for an unlimited toll pass when the only toll I had to use has a live person available. Unnecessary cost. Also, as for leaving the lot was somewhat confusing. As there was no one to check the car out upon leaving. It appeared that at that time no one was in the yard and the back gate was locked. A desk clerk was leaving and simply said it was kay to leave. No one checked out the car and initialed the form.

Finally saw a sign at an obscure place to go to location number 32. Walk there ( a long way) and then the signs said pick was at location 12. Got help from another shuttle who said was at 32 but then ace shuttle never stopped. finally after 15 to 20 minutes got shuttle. Described problem at ACE when got to off airport site and agent at the desk had no interest in resolving it or offering an apology. We ended up missing an appointment.

I toured the entire rental car parking lot before finding the kiosk. The car smelled strongly of cigarettes even though there was a sticker on the window indicating no smoking. No problems for experienced rentersPositiv: I saw a bunch of reviews where people were complaining about surprise charges, pushy salespeople, and bad vehicles, but my experience was nothing like this. Sure the guy at the counter tries to sell you additional options or a better car, but don't get scared by it, and just say no. Simple. You don't need additional insurance, yours will do. Or better yet, don't get in an accident. You don't need a SunPass, just bring cash and know where you're going. We had a nice, new Kia Soul that was easy to identify by it's funny green color. Drove very nicely. Yes, they place a $200 hold on your credit card as a security deposit, which gets refunded when you return the vehicle. Just know what you're doing and what to expect, and you'll be fine.Negativ: Car drop-off wasn't manned when I pulled in. Had to go back to the car then and meet with the return guy who was elsewhere.

Gave away my rental because my flight was delayed Negativ: As the title reads, Advantage gave my rental away because my flight was delayed. I was to pick up a minivan at 11:30pm but when I arrived at 2:30am the rather rude attendant chuckled and made a joke about not having anymore vehicles. He told me to come back (with wife and 4 young kids in tow) after 8:00am and he might have something for me.
I had called the provided number for Advantage Orlando 10+ times during the delay. The number rang straight to an automated “Due to heavy call volume, we are unable to take you call. Please call back later.” I called everyday for a week after. Still says that...
Positiv: I didn't have to spend too much time at the counter going through the paper work. The customer service rep went through options for extra insurance, purchasing gas ahead of time, etc., but didn't try to go "hard sell." The car was in good condition. Overall, I was satisfied.

Very speedy pick up and return process as well.Negativ: On the last day of rental driving to airport for return, various warning ligets began flashing on and off intermittently. Very disconcerting. Also, the estimated rental charge is charge up front upon initial reservation. This does not give much wiggle room for travel delays or cancellations.

Positiv: Kiosk would not work for me. Counter employees more interested in up-selling product than checking out customers. It took almost an hour to get a car (previously reserved) with only a few people in line. When I arrived at my destination, I find out that the Orlando location forgot to actually check the car out. So Alamo never even knew it was gone! That created mass confusion at check-in, which caused another long delay just to simply drop the car off. My time is valuable but it clearly isn't valuable to Alamo.

The car was filthy, but I'm in a hurry, so kept it. Driving it to convention site the smell was terrible. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!Negativ: When we checked in, the attendant was rude and was only concerned about upgrading us to a larger vehicle (even though we were scheduled for a Toyota Highlander which was plenty big). He was so rude. I was so flustered that I never remembered to ask him for a toll pass, and he never offered one, so off we went. Of course, we immediately encountered numerous tolls in Orlando and paid as many as we could (there were some without a toll plaza so we couldn't pay them). When we returned the car, i told two agents that I needed to pay the tolls we missed, and they told me to call the 1-800 number on the receipt, but when I called, the outside company could not help. They said I was misinformed by the EZ agents. Shocker. Yes, we received a great deal on the rental car, but IT WAS NOT WORTH IT. I now have a headache on my heads dealing with the missed tolls and possible massive fine headed my way.

Impossible to locate to return the vehicle in at MIANegativ: Impossible to locate the return location at MIA as Fox is not located where all the other car rental returns are.
Even Corporate didn't have this location's phone and address!Positiv: The car was fine.Negativ: Not an airport location even though that is what I asked for. Bad address and phone number was given. We went to the given address and then had to flag our cab down as Hertz had moved.
It was 46 minutes from the airport, then 46 minutes from our hotel. We returned the car a day early as the rental location does not open before 9am.
Negativ: The HERTZ was not at the airport like I thought and closed by the time our plane landed and then it was Saturday night and they were not open on Sunday. The Hertz that was at the airport made no attempt to accommodate us so we ended up renting a car from AVIS. On Monday Morning I attempted to call them to tell them I would not be picking up the car and could not get an answer,then when Igot home aweek later there was a message on my answering machine giving me there new address because they apparently had moved to a different location.

So with a screaming toddler in the back seat and stressing about missing my flight, I finally find the new location after 45 minutes. When I asked to change my drop off to a closer location they said it would cost over $200 more. Was told I was receiving an upgrade but did not. Poor communication. Even worse customer service. Make sure your rental location is at the Orlando airport Negativ: When I arrived and went to the Hertz counter they informed me that the location of my rental was off the airport property.
They didn’t provide a shuttle service and informed me that I need to get a Uber or taxis to the location cost would be $30.00 one way .

Appeared to be the remote agent on the screen that was unable to find. Eventually (about 30 minutes into this) the manager came in and resolved the issue and got us an upgrade. I had reserved for under $500 for the week and the initial quote was over $1000; I would never have gone with this but they had the best price and I assumed Hertz had a bigger inventory to be sure to have a full-sized SUV. We had a party of 7 and anything smaller was not an option. Overall, resolved but the experience was not good.

When I rented online I said my flight arrived after 1pm.The store closed at 1pm on Saturday.I had to return monday morning. I incurred Lyft charges totaling $91. Bad bad kayak car rental experience!Positiv: .Negativ: I booked through kayak. National in Orlando could not find the reservation. In the end, National rebooked me and charged me a lot more. Kayak also charged me for insurance even though I didn't end up getting the car through them. This experience is very bad and cost me way more than I was originally priced through kayak.
Cold as icePositiv: Found the rental counter very easily - Negativ: Booked rental online for a one way trip from FL to NJ - tried to use my debit card to pay, but they don't accept it for one way...they do not accept cash either. I missed reading the fine print about this, so be careful or you'll get stranded at MCO if you don't have a major credit card. The employees there deal with bullshit every day I'm sure because they were both grumpy.

Car Rental with Kayak via Hotwire via Payless on 2/17-19/2018Negativ: 1) When I went to the spot in the garage that had been assigned to me, a husband and wife arrived shortly after me to rent the same car. I went back to the Payless counter in Orlando expecting to get an upgrade for the inconvenience of lugging my golf bag back to the terminal. The Payless rep did not upgrade me for my inconvenience.
2) The reservation was supposed to be for $73.77 with Payless (via Hotwire). Instead, I was charged $265.53. Now I have to waste MY time figuring out why I was overcharged by almost $200.00.
Negativ: Hidden fees. 10$ a day to use my own insurance. 8$ a day for a toll sticker, and I still had to pay tolls. Was quoted 180$ ended up paying 260$ Paid for taxes and fees both online and at the rental company.

Negativ: Picked up car at night when it was dark and dropped off next morning. Drove to hotel and parked in open lot. Nothing hit the windshield while I was driving the car. When I left the car with the rep. (who was very nice) he yelled for me to come back and pointed out a crack that I never saw and he didn't until I had left. Since I never saw the crack and nothing hit the windshield in the short period I drove the car I will make it a point to thoroughly inspect a car regardless of the time of night and to not leave the car until the rep has gone over it twice. Other than that it was a fine rental and I plan to continue renting from you.

Positiv: Requested a smoke-free car, and the clerk gave us a brand new Camry with 6 miles on it. It had a fairly large trunk, so that we got all our bags in it. The ride was smooth but a little on the firm side. Overall it was a very comfortable ride for the three of us. The dropoff was very quick and hassle free. I saw some poor reviews of Payless, but I had a good experience with them.Negativ: I was pleasantly surprised that there was no issue with my unpaid reservation, but I did have to request the optional premium package get removed from my bill.

Friendly staff, clean premises, thieves and cheats...Positiv: The staff were well dressed and the facility was clean. The air conditioning was cold and the water was free. That's where the accolades stop.Negativ: My $77 weekend car rental turned into $212 because they claimed that I picked the car up later than I said I would and then dropped it off later than I said I would, neither of which were true. They also would not let me leave with the car unless I agreed to pay $15 per day for liability insurance even though I had proof of full coverage from my AMEX. DO NOT RENT YOUR CAR FROM THESE PEOPLE. Not if you value your money.

Wish I Would've Picked A Different Rental CompanyPositiv: NothingNegativ: Rented the car online using KAYAK. The total cost for the vehicle was 55 dollars. When I pick up the car, I always decline the insurance and gas option. When I did, they required me to show proof of insurance. I did not have any proof of insurance from my company and I do not care my personal insurance card with me. So I could not get the car unless I purchased their insurance. The car was horrible. It had a bad vibration, it made a horrible noise, the air did not work one time until I figured out the key had to be in the exact right spot for the blower/air to work. It had a hose hanging down below the vehicle. At the end of the week, my 55 dollar rental ended up costing 180 dollars. I always use KAYAK for my rentals....I wish they would pull Priceless Car Rentals off of their site. I will never use Priceless again.
Negativ: Took about 30 min to check in at the counter. It was only one person in front of me. Both the customer and the clerk in the front counter were very slow at rent a car processing. The other clerk got on the phone pretending not seeing other standing clients. Office environment very boring and basic not even a tiny green plant or poster hanging. Aunts are marching on bathroom floor. beware of insurance policy add up at the counter before even they ask you what kind of policy you like to carry...
they did upgrade me to another car because of my long waiting. However these people at the rent a car they don't get it! Efficiency and fast processing matters when the time is of essence. We are not there to test drive a intermediate car we need a quick ride and process to catch up with the business meeting etc,...

Easy Rental No PaperworkPositiv: Easy way to rent a car- no lines and no paper! All with an app. Both drivers very friendly! I typically wait in a long rental line in Orlando MCO airport, but not for SilverCar!Negativ: All was great!
Positiv: Great service, very helpful, very efficient Negativ: Car had been smoked in. They tried to cover it up with a new car freshener, but after 4 days it had worn off and you could smell the smoke again.
Rental Positiv: Price was good and vehicle cleanliness Negativ: There was a vibrating noise when you went over 70 mph and there was no washer fluid. Also there was a slow leak in one of the tires.
Positiv: Received an upgrade because so many people arrived at the same time and someone took the last compact car. Got a brand new ford fusion with 8 miles on it. Fully loaded. Didnt pay for gps but got that too. Great car.Negativ: Long line at the airport. Both self serve kiosks were out of order. Would have been quicker if they were functioning.

They made me stranded at airport at 5am after a red eye and i had to wait 4 hours to figure out a solution which ended up costing me triple the time and triple the money. Very poor service! Will never use again!!!!Negativ: Thrifty car dealer Freddy Myth at thrifty ORLANDO was the worst customer service & made me wait an hour just to turn down my reservation. He offered no alternatives and was extremely rude and made me cry. He should be fired.
Customer Care makes all the differencePositiv: When we finally made it to the counter we had the best agent ever,
Ahmad (sp?). He offered us water, helped us with our rental, pointed out a AAA discount that we missed and gave us great advice about how to get to the hotel with as little traffic as possible. Even though we had stood in line for almost two hours to get the car, in the end the overall experience was great.Negativ: When we got to the airport the check in kiosks were all out of service so all of the Thrifty and Dollar rental car pick-ups were being handled through one desk with about four associates. The line was HOURS long, and the Orlando airport is hot, stuffy and uncomfortable at best.

Also ‘economy’ was written on my pick up folder but compact was on the signs. This caused a bit of confusion and uncertainty.
terrible customer servicePositiv: The car and the value was good. The drop off service was good. Negativ: The pick up service was the worst I have ever experienced. It took me 1 1/2 hours from the time I got in line to pick up the car to the time I drove out of the airport garage. They were understaffed, slow, uncaring people at every step of the process. I will never use Thrifty again and be happy to pay their competitors more.
A decent car and pretty good value.Positiv: The car was reasonably clean and was of the size that I reserved. It had unlimited mileage as I was from out of state.Negativ: The tires were all under-inflated and non of them were at the same pressure. I had to find a gas station with air to inflate them properly.
If you have a drivers license from the state you are renting, in this case, Florida, you probably won' t be happy as there are mileage limits.
That was not the case for non-residents.
It took longer to pickup and drop off than at most rental facilities as they lacked the staff at the counter.
What a mess!!!Positiv: To be fair, the drop off experience was normal. Negativ: The have Dollar and Thrifty combined, so the line was huge. After waiting about 30 minutes to check in, the cashier was annoyed by everything and everyone. Very rude and unapologetic when told me to step to the side to wait for my car because they didn't have my car. When asked about how long it was going to take she aswered" not long!!!". Waited an extra 40 minutes for my car. Awful customer service.
