Sehr zuvorkommend. Lobby und Bar sind modernisiert. Die Zimmer sind sehr dunkel. Keine Beleuchtungsgeräte, nur Stehlampen.
All of the staff are very pleasant in this boutique hotel in the heart of Santa Fe. The public areas are nicely appointed. It is a historic hotel so the rooms are small with limited counter space.
Location, service, historical feature, comfort. Not enough space in room to spread out but ample for the price.
The location is terrific, the rooms are a little small but nicely appointed, the beds are comfy, lobby is nice, it's a historic property with a great bar! There was no coffee maker in the guest room and no morning coffee in the lobby, and no one at the restaurant desk so we had to go out. Not a big deal but a little inconvenient since it was snowing!
Wonderful restoration; helpful staff and superb location to main sights in the central part of old Santa Fe. We did choose the least expensive room and was perhaps not surprised that we had a small room with not such a nice view but it was very nicely appointed and comfortable.
Loved the location. Staff was amazing. Romantic room... Hotel design is so well done. Loved the whole experience!
Walk to Plaza and all the shops and restaurants....
The rooms were clean and cozy. Since I'm from a tropical place and staying in Santa Fe during November I was fearful of the cold nights, but the heater worked great and I could open the windows for fresh air. The decor is modern with nostalgic and rustic sentiment. I did not have a car, so I appreciated the convenience of the hotels location as it was steps away from the plaza and great eateries.
We had a family reunion there. We were from NY, San Francisco & Boston.wish they had Catholic TV. In this historic, holy town. Who cares about all the sports channels. That won't get u into heaven. Swimming pool was 87 degrees in winter& pool is open all day. Nothing.
Attractive with nice amenities and great location. Maid tried to get in our room to clean at 8 or 8:15 two mornings of our stay. We were sleeping in and this seemed a bit early. Cleaning staff were also talking loudly outside our room.
Everything, especially the breakfAST.
Location, extremely friendly & helpful staff, fresh b'fasts, sherry in afternoon, attractive lobby & property, clean comfortable rooms w/ local decorations--& the ac was not noisy. The chest of drawers that required the cabinet doors to be totally open before you could pull out drawers. Even then the drawers rubbed.
location, staff were friendly. there was no real closet to hang clothes in. The space was only 12 inches aprox as there was large square part of the wall taking up all the space. Also they had said there was a fireplace in every room, ours did not have one and we were told there was "a burning ban, anyway"
Easy walking to most attractions. Good parking and easy highway access. Friendly and competent staff. Excellent included breakfast (fresh fruit, eggs to order, & great granola). Unique and area-appropriate room décor and atmosphere. Would stay here again. Bed was too high.
I liked the Sante Fe style of the rooms and our courtyard with fountain. Breakfast was also pleasant each morning. I didn't like the fact that my smallest room on the property was the same price as my friend's suite, which could have housed both of us for 1/2 the price had we known.
Great price. Great location $20 Extra for parking. Most paid since SF.
Location Had to pay $20 to park (didn't know that until we got there) Minimal front staff - not there in evening or morning Blinds did not fit window so not very private Would not stay there again
Great little hotel.we booked it for the price..it was such an unexpected surprise.Sam who was working the front desk all weekend was so helpful..
Incredibly friendly staff. Outstanding location. great price point. Clean, cool, funky rooms. We had a major airline snafu and had to return for an extra night and they couldn't have been more accommodating. Just a great place. Room was on the cramped side...but we are a family of 5 so were using all of the sleeping space (the master bed area and the pullout couch (actually much more comfortable then that...it's a bed under a day bed, can't recall the name for this) so not entirely representative.
I found the Luxx to be a charming little place. It's off the main drag, which is nice, and it has some great amenities. It's definitely a bargain - if you don't like staying in bland, cookie-cutter chain hotels but still expect a good experience, the Luxx is a great venue. The rooms definitely feel as though they're all unique - and they likely are. Bold colors on the walls, wild patterns on floor, brightly-colored tile headboards, and some requisite mission-style wood pieces to tie it all together. It is different and welcoming. To me, it feels like home. Love that they use key codes instead of key cards - no chance of getting locked out that way. My room had two doors - one for interior access to the hotel and a back door exiting into an outdoor lounge with hot tub access. Not sure if all of the rooms have this setup, but being able to come and go without actually going through the interior of the hotel added to the privacy - I liked this very much. The hotel definitely seems to cater to a crowd that are likely affluent, not travelling with children, and who like something different. I didn't see any evidence of children anywhere and I was easily the youngest person I saw there as well (I'm in my mid 20's). I had no disturbances from other guests during my stay, either. It's a nice scene. Slept great, got to my meeting on time and rested. Great staff all-around. Love this place. Will return as business brings me back to Santa Fe. The parking situation is not ideal, but that's the trade off for the location. I opted to pay for secured parking the the gated parking garage next door instead of feeding parking meters/chancing a ticket. The rate for this is a bit steep ($20) but I found it worth it to avoid being towed, getting dented, or having to get snow off the car. I found all of the parking options to be sub-par even for my very small car. It shouldn't be a surprise in Sante Fe, but if you're driving something big and haven't been before, you'll find the parking a squeeze for an SUV.
The Luxx has an excellent location, tucked away near the Santa Fe Plaza and the Palace of the Governors. Rooms are clean, quiet, and well furnished. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Wonderful location, right by downtown. Easy walk to downtown and tourism sites. Lots of parking (although they charge extra to park). Friendly staff. Room was a bit old-fashioned but clean. When you add in the $8/day parking charge and the fact that they don't serve breakfast, it's not quite the deal it may seem at first. Also, the room was quite light at night--there were only blinds, which didn't keep out the lights from the parking area.
Great location--within walking distance of most of the museums, and reasonable rates. Surprise parking fees ($8/day), and no restaurant discount because the restaurant is now independent--please remove the obsolete reference. Had to ask the maid to take some of the lumps out of the bed caused by poorly spread foam.
location, green chile cheeseburger poor wifi, dirty linens, horrible beds, TV from 1992, beat up rooms, stained floors and walls, paper thin walls. not worth the money at all.
The location was great. Our room was VERY outdated.
Location about 3 blocks off the plaza. Nice room, large with fridge and micro. Good beds. Only negative was the desk clerk mis-coded the room keys and had to go back and get them re-done.
Clean room, walking distance to Santa Fe square, nearby shops and restaurants.
Garrett's Desert Inn is not a hotel in which you spend most of your time lounging in the rooms, contemplating your trip. The rooms are small, with small bathrooms, few windows, and crt TVs. But, the key feature of the Desert Inn is that it's a one-minute walk from the main downtown area of Santa Fe! The rest of the hotels near this area run $300+, which is ridiculous, since you should be sleeping in your hotel, then immediately leaving and walking around beautiful downtown Santa Fe. And that's exactly what Garrett's provides: Their beds are clean, soft, and comfortable. Get a good night's sleep, then spend the day exploring!
