Avis Abu Dhabi is terriblePositiv: Not much. Easier than renting from DXB, but that's really more of a credit to Abu Dhabi's airport than anything Avis. Negativ: They called a hatchback an "SUV". It was tiny and had over 30K km on it so it didn't drive very well. Additionally at drop off the traffic made me 30 mins late and they charged me a FULL day! Not even an hourly rate or anything. Absurd. Customer service was very poor both at pickup & dropoff. Never again Avis, never again.
No brakes Negativ: The car they gave me had a whistle sound while breaking this means that the brake pads and rotorsee needs to be changed. That's a safety issues and this won't make me rent a car with avis again. My reservation number was #09681320US5

Negativ: Changed the dropoff point and asked us to drop it three hours before what the paid one was because they closed early that day!? And they didn't know that before and we still had to pay full??? Plus they charged us with extra cleaning only because there was a little sand from the beach from the kids - taking the matt out and done, but no, we had to pay and extra 50 $! And the overall costs are a joke, they make a good price on paper but in the end you pay more than anywhere else - don't book there!!
Terrible experience Positiv: NothingNegativ: I was informed at the counter on pick up that I need to put down a $500 hold on my CC to cover possible "traffic fines". Cancelled immediately. Be aware when renting cars in the UAE with Budget.

WORST SERVICE EVER :(Positiv: Convenience for picking up and dropping off vehicle at airport.Negativ: The whole experience was terrible!!! :(
First, when I arrived, he told me he does not have a seven seater available became they were fully booked and will have to give me a smaller car. I refused and I showed him my reservation which was made months in advance, he then said he will see what he can down. Twenty minutes later, the other guy came back from the lot and said he will upgrade me to a Mercedes-Benz Vito (which I booked in the first place).
Then, he tried to up-sell me insurance when I clearly told him that I am not interested and that I have already purchased it. He then said that my insurance does not cover everything (without even looking at what coverage I had) and try to further sell me insurance.
The associate than became arrogant and rude when I refused to buy insurance (so he could make commission off me by forcing it down my throat).
When we went to the car lot, they gave a very high mileage Vito and a ton of scratches and dents. I had to take several photos and a video of the damage to make sure he does not charge me when I return to vehicle. He very furious about this and told me not to worry, that he had made all the notes of the damage (but who can trust this man). I asked him how to open the trunk; he said he does not know, he did not even try to help me.
He gave also me a ticket and said when I returned the vehicle I will need the ticket to get back into the lot. However, once we exited the lot, the machine takes the ticket and opens the boom gate, it does not return it. After driving for approximately 30 minutes, the service light came on. In addition, throughout the trip, the engine sounded like an airplane taking off, I don’t know when last Budget Car Rentals serviced this vehicle.
I don’t know where Budget employees these sort of people and how they train them. Next time, I will go with EUROPCAR or AVIS or any other car rental company that appreciates my money and treats me like a customer.
I will also inform everyone I know about my unpleasant experience and inform them to use another company!

3- Take extra mony for gasoline 67 DHs.
Negativ: It's not mentioned here that they take a deposit of 500$ + the rental fee , I was not expecting that .

Budget에서 받은 차량은 최악이었습니다. 달리다가 고장나서 정지할수도 있는 위험한 차량입니다. 차량반환시 주차장에 대기중인 차량들을 모두 관찰해봤는데 이런 차량은 한대도 없더군요. 오랜된 위험한 차량은 새차량으로 교체하던지 아니면 정비를 제대로 하던지... 세심한 관리가 필요할것 같습니다.

They claimed that I should have received a cancellation notice, yet, over 90 minutes AFTER my scheduled pickup time, my booking status remained "confirmed" in your system.
This is outrageous. You have wasted both my time and my money.
I will require an immediate refund of whatever charges you have made to my credit card as well as a credit for AED 120 in order to refund wasted taxi fares to and from the airport.
I could not be me more disappointed in your service or lack thereof. I would recommend that you not disappoint me further by ignoring this demand.

Negativ: They charged AED 25 in parking fee which was not included or mentioned anywhere when I made the booking. Picked up and dropped the car back into their garage and paid parking fee. Not at all justified.

A wheel bearing or some other fault made the car so noisy as to be unbearable at speeds over over 80km (50mph)
Could not get a proper receipt on handing the car back, they gave me a photocopy when asked.
Overall goodPositiv: They give us a bit better car than we expected because we booked some small car from A category and they gave us Toyota Yaris which is I think from B category.Negativ: They did not mark clearly scratches that were before so when we were returning the car they were thinking we made these scratches and I clearly pointed them to write some of these when we picked up the car. But at the end, they accepted all of these was from before and didn`t take any money from the deposit. Another thing to pay attention is to additional cost like 16aed for "road tax" and 25aed to return car at airport, so I returned it to Al Raha mall. Also when you renting from any company pay attention to the level of full because often they don`t give with full level and they expect to return them full level.
