Positiv: Overall the experience with sixt was nice - the car was totally new and comfortable. Although I received a premium-class car, I reserved SUV, but not sedan that I have received. That was unfortunate and rather unexpected, given the size of luggage and the quality of countryside road I was going to.
Negativ: I would prefer a faster reaction - if sixt can't guarantee even the car class, then I would prefer an immediate cancellation. When I hear that my car is not available at the counter - that's already late for last minute changes.
Negativ: I called to Sixt before coming to office and they proved that the car is ready. When I came to the Sixt office Berlin Tempelhof they didn’t give me the car. Moreover they told me that my account is blocked in their system but it is impossible. I had to wait then sent email to their security system and got this response: “ Dear Mr. Povetkin, In reference to your request, please notice that we decided to do not fulfill the reservation mentioned above and so please accept this decision and refrain from further requests regarding this matter”. This is insane and I had to find rapidly another service, that was Europecar and they gave me a car in 5 minutes. Please consider this for further bookings. BR, Dmitriy
Positiv: Location was easy.
Excellent service and car
Positiv: Courteous staff, nice clean car and they upgraded the total miles.
Positiv: Good value.
Negativ: Phone service is terrible. It is impossible to reach n human on the phone. Also they did not explain that you need a vignette to drive in the Czech Republic or Austria.
Car wasn't really clean
Positiv: Pretty much brand new car, clean from the outside
Negativ: Windows, dashboard and middle console hadn't been cleaned probably.
Good price for car, but $230 of hidden fees
Positiv: Clean car, able to take it into other countries, 2100 km with car
Negativ: Hidden fees!!! Charges for "premium pickup location" at airport $70, $60 is service fee, they didn't specify that we had to have the car returned with a full tank of gas, also didn't tell us what kind of gas to get, people working at desk were not accomodating in explaining fees- rude to us becuase we are all around age 21.
Positiv: We landed early and they gave us our rental early as well!

Simple and easy
Positiv: Drop off was extremely simple and efficient. Could not have been easier. Signage was good despite dim lighting in garage area.

Negativ: Even though I contracted the online Allianz insurance recommended by the site the person on the counter said this online insurance was not valid for this rental and I should buy another at Sixt. It was not clear to me on the booking and I felt deceived by this.
