Hertz Mietwagen in Savannah buchen

Positiv: I rented an SUV for eight days a family vacation with pickup at a Savannah location on E. Victory Drive -- 5:00pm pickup on Friday May 7th. sparing you the small details that only added to the aggravation i'll go right to the miserable punch line -- the location was CLOSED. FOR GOOD. As in NO LONGER IN BUSINESS. I was dropped at the location by an UBER only to be told by a very nice woman packing boxes that this location is no longer active and they had NO CARS. So much for the reservation. And so much for my morning taking Ubers around Savannah to find a car (there was a shortage) I would like to be contacted by someone from Kayak to discuss this experience and understand how this could possibly have happened. Negativ: UMMMMM....they could have had a car for me? Or the location from which i supposedly rented (through Kayak) could have still been in business???????

Negativ: The day after booking the car rental on kayak, the hertz location called and said they actually didn't have any cars available. So, it was back to square one with lost time.

Positiv: The staff was very friendly.

Negativ: There was an issue where my reservation was at the wrong location, I was not offered any remedy, they just told me it was 30 minutes away. I had to call and figure it out on my own.

Positiv: The lady who helped us finally get a car was excellent. The company and their policies were bad and highly unprofessional. We reserved a car, but when we arrived, they switched the pick-up from the airport to an office downtown so I had to pay for a taxi. Secondly, there was no car waiting for me. I had to wait for another person to return one. We were told that a reservation and confirmation only guarantee a price, but not a car! This is beyond my comprehension that a company could lie to this level.

Negativ: Ensure that a confirmation on your reservation is a guarantee they will have a car.

Negativ: There was no car available for us at our location/ reservation time....we had to postpone everything by over 24 hours after calling around the area and waiting for something else to open up. We ended up canceling this reservation. I’d love to know how I can be accommodated for this major inconvenience to our travel.

Positiv: Nothing about the experience was pleasant or satisfactory

Negativ: Communication about the fact that the car I reserved was unavailable with an opportunity to find an alternative. I was stuck with a vehicle I did not agree to/purchase and given no chance to find one elsewhere. The vehicle did not meet my travel needs.

Positiv: We were in an uber traveling to the Savannah GA Hertz to pick up our car for the week when they called and said they didn't have a car for our reservation. I felt like I was in a Seinfeld episode. How do you not have a car for a reservation made? And they could care less. It somehow wasn't their problem and it wasn't worth their time to help resolve it. We had to spend a week of very unreliable and expensive Ubers to get anywhere. My guess they were trying to double dip the car as our first uber cancelled minutes before picking us up so we were about 20 mins late from our pickup time when they called. I think they were gave our car away and since we had prepaid had hoped we weren't coming.

Negativ: Actually have the number of cars they offer in reservations.
