Positiv: Direkt an der U-Bahn Station. Nur eine Haltestelle bis O2 und direkter Anschluss zum Stadtzentrum. Komfortabele und saubere Zimmer. Gutes Frühstücksbuffet, gemütliches Restaurant und Lounge.

Positiv: Wifi was good. Breakfast was pretty good - fair amount of selection (just don't take the bacon, as it's undercooked). It is located very closely to the underground (across the road).

Negativ: Hard mattresses; would have liked it was softer, as it wasn't too comfortable. It was noisy from other rooms and cleaning staff in the hotel (their cleaning stuff was in the room next to mine). I wish there was a safety box in the room itself, not having to go downstairs to store your things safely.

Positiv: we just have one day and a night in London. Arrived early at the hotel, the staff stored our luggage until we returned quite late in the evening to check in. Very convenient to be able to check in at any time. Right across the road from the tube station, very good location. Good and varied breakfast.

Negativ: although the bar was open, no food available in the evening except pizza. The staff were not able to give us information on places to eat in the area.

Positiv: Amazing location with train station in front of the building (access to Jubilee line). Hotel is brand new, room was spacious and clean.

Negativ: Waiting time is ridiculous at their restaurant. 30min for a pizza! Food was good though.

Positiv: Gut ausgestattetes Hotel in guter, ruhiger Lage. U Bahn direkt nebenan. Gemütlicher Empfangsbereich. Vielfältiges Frühstück (extra Kosten). Zimmer mittelgross und gut eingerichtet. Auschecken 24h möglich.

Negativ: Etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig ist die nicht vorhandene Rezeption. Mitarbeiter stehen an der Bar und erwarten einem mit Smartphone. Einchecken dauert entsprechend lange (> 10 Minuten). Auf dem Zimmer waren nur 2 Handtücher.

Negativ: When you cook pork meat,must be absolutely well done, so all the toxins get away , and it wasn’t well cooked, also would like to suggest more help in the bar. Had to wait 8 minutes to ask for a soda .

Positiv: Location is very good - tube station just across the street; Westfields shopping mall is two stations away; very clean; great shower, staff generally very helpful, beds were comfortable and room cosy.

Negativ: Breakfast - although nice; very pricey No phone in the room - so cannot contact reception and I guess not able to order room service Requested an early check - was not able to accommodate Rooms very small - but alright for me! In the immediate area - not much shops around

Positiv: The location was excellent, right outside Canning town tube and bus station, the staff were friendly and helpful, everything works as it should and you can tell its new.

Negativ: Couldn't eat breakfast as all the meat was pork, however, there were halal restaurants on the high street 5 minutes walk away

Negativ: Just stayed there for £85 was going to book again for April only to find the price has gone up to£224 because there's an event on at the O2 shame on YOU.

Positiv: Die Lage 10 min zu Fuß zur O2-Arena ist unschlagbar! Das Zimmer war sehr schön und groß genug, Nespresso und Wasserkocher vorhanden, sehr sauber, sehr leise und komfortabel. Fantastisches Frühstück!

Positiv: We only stopped one night to go to a concert at the O2.We stopped at The Pilot in 2015 and it is much improved now.We had breakfast,my husband had a cooked breakfast and I had 2 poached eggs on toast asI don't eat meat and both were very nice.

Positiv: The room was unique and tastefully set out, the bed was comfortable and having a controllable air con system was nice. Food was good and most staff were attentive and polite.

Negativ: Not being able to ascertain the exact location from staff when we called on route after getting lost .

Positiv: Very quirky setting: half a street of Georgian London (pub plus a row of terrace houses) totally surrounded by modern development. Spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated room, good food at a good price, friendly. Walking distance to Tube, riverbus, cable car.

Negativ: A bit noisy but that's to be expected (pub).

Positiv: The Pilot Inn is ideally placed for stays when visiting the O2. It has free parking. Excellent rooms, which are well stocked with good quality beverages and toiletries. The breakfast is scrummy!!! A great find for us, we will definitely go again

Positiv: Schwimmendes Hotel in den Docklands, nur 200 m vom Excel Messe Nordeingang entfernt. Gediegene Ausstattung mit maritimem Charakter. habe mich direkt wohl gefühlt. Typisches umfangreiches englisches Frühstücksbuffet. Die Sunborn liegt zwar direkt in einer Einflugschneise des London City Airports, aber die Lärmbelästigung war erstaunlich gering, zumindest in meinem Zimmer mit geschlossenem Maxi-Bullauge im 2. Stock. Kann evt. im 3. und 4. Stock mit Balkons und Schiebetüren etwas störender sein.

Negativ: Für ein Hotel dieses gehobenen Niveaus war die WLAN Qualität und verfügbare Bandbreite absolut enttäuschend und nervig, teilweise wie zu Modem-Zeiten vor 10 Jahren.

Negativ: Access on and off the boat. This is restricted to two lifts, if its busy you have to wait.

Positiv: Location great for Excel and Docklands. The superior double cabin was really very nice with a water view. Woodwork and panelling immaculate and carpets and room super clean. We expected quite a lot and they exceeded that! We will stay again. Great Italian restaurant just opposite across the dockside square.

Negativ: A bit of a walk with luggage from rather expensive overnight parking (£20).

Negativ: The air con did not work as it was supposed to. light bulbs in Cabin not working. Lots of little things missing like no tissues, only 2 tea bags. Room service did not clean the cabin on Saturday at all. And over charged for a Bottle of Peroni in the bar. All in all the yacht was a bit tired. For the money not a bargain.

Customer service was ridiculous, when we got there we were told by the manager that our Queen room was unavailable due to maintenance (how convenient) but instead of upgrading us for this inconvenience caused by themselves the manager wanted to downgrade us to two singles which I of course declined. We had to suggest an upgrade before his light bulb finally went on and agreed to upgrade us....very poor that as a manager you waited for a customer to suggest this. Hilton have really got to train their staff in customer service better. The standard is appalling now.

Positiv: Frühstück war gut und ausreichend. Das Hotel liegt unmittelbar am City-Flughafen und wäre von dort gut erreichbar. Die Anreise von den anderen Flughäfen ist lang. Züge in die Innenstadt sind fußläufig erreichbar.

Positiv: Sehr gute Anbindung zur DLR / Underground. Ruhige Lage trotz Flughafennähe. (wir fanden das sogar sehr cool, die Flugzeuge morgens starten zu sehen) Total zuvorkommendes Personal, sehr saubere Zimmer, tolles Bad und alles wunderbar ausgestattet (sogar mit Minisafe). Frühstück war der Hammer. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist top! Empfehlen wir weiter. Kleiner Tipp: Unser Zimmer war im sechsten Stock. Der Aufzug war sehr schnell oben und die Aussicht auf die Stadt und den Hafen war vor allem Nachts atemberaubend!

Negativ: Habe aus Versehen ein barrierefreies Zimmer gebucht - die roten Schnüre überall haben uns ein wenig Sorgen bereitet. Dennoch natürlich nicht die Schuld des Hotels sondern mein Versehen - und letzten Endes war der Platz, den wir mehr hatten auch gar nicht schlecht. PS: Speck kann das Hotel nicht so gut - der Rest des Frühstücks war aber super. :)

Negativ: Even though we were very satisfied with the food, we suggest the food to vary a bit more - different type of sausages, fried eggs instead of scrambled eggs ...it's a small change which means a lot when staying a couple of days...

Positiv: Großartige Lage, wenn Sie im Kongresszentrum arbeiten. Das libanesische Restaurant gegenüber vom Hotel ist ausgezeichnet.

Negativ: Das größte Problem an diesem Ort ist eigentlich der Preis. Für diesen Betrag wird viel erwartet, und Crowne Plaza kommt kurz. Die Zimmer sind nicht zum Einchecken bereit, das wirklich schreckliche kontinentale Frühstück und die engen Zimmer sind kein Problem, wenn Sie weniger bezahlen. Bei meinem nächsten Aufenthalt werde ich sehen, ob eines der anderen Hotels auf dem Block besser ist, aber dieser Preis könnte nur eine Funktion einer Lage sein, die nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß zum Kongresszentrum ist.

Train station 2 minutes walk away, easy to jump on, change at Canning Town and travel into central London. Lovely food, with wide variety at breakfast. Excellent staff, friendly, helpful and professional.

Negativ: Smoked bacon at the breakfast buffet, (nothing wrong with the cooking of it, it just isn't my personal preference).

Positiv: Frühstück reichhaltig und gut, schöner Blick auf das Wasser, Anschluss an den ÖPNV in direkter Nähe, kostenpflichtige Parkmöglichkeit direkt neben dem Hotel, Nähe zur Gondel (zwei Mal genutzt, keine Wartezeiten, traumhafter Blick), kleines Zimmer reicht auch für den Aufenthalt mit einer dritten Person, Beistellbett nicht zu kurz. Betten gut. Im Schlafbereich Hotelbetrieb nicht zu hören. Warmes Abendessen okay, wird gerne angenommen, auch Pizza möglich. Saubere, schöne Umgebung, großzügige Freiflächen, kein Autoverkehr, kurzfristig am Ende der Sommerferien von NRW gebucht. einige Gäste mit Kindern.

Negativ: Toilettentür schwer zu schließen (klemmte, daher ein Schließen nur laut möglich), wenige, kleinere Schönheitsreparaturen nötig. Nähe zum Flughafen, Fluglärm mit geschlossenem Fenster und aufgrund der nicht zu hohen Dichte an Flugbewegungen akzeptabel. Zimmer war noch nicht bezugsfertig am späten Nachmittag, vermutlich fehlte noch das Beistellbett, warten erforderlich, drei Freigetränke ließen darüber hinwegsehen. Freundlichkeit des Personals unterschiedlich.

Positiv: It was worth for value for a family with breakfast.

Negativ: The check in took extra 45 minutes due to room was not ready. The staff at front desk was not feeling sorry, they behaved as if it’s normal and I must expect this service delay. Secondly, I saw my credit card statement today and shocked seeing one additional charge GBP112 in my credit card from Novotel London excel. My payment were done upon check in itself and I have checked out with notifications on 29Aug. This charge is unacceptable. This is the second time I have issue for my reservations with booking.com as my previous stay with Hyatt place Dubai also was restless.

Positiv: We just got married and went straight to hotel, when booking I said it’s our honeymoon. They upgraded our room for free and put rose petals and a towel design in the shape of a love heart. Which was totally unexpected was just expecting a rose or something but they went all out and made our wedding night so special. Everything was amazing.

Positiv: Everything, perfect location, smart, clean, trendy, comfy, love the separate toilet and extra shower over bath. Nice touch having the water in rooms too and loved the massage chairs x

Positiv: Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Not as spacious as I would have expected them to be. The AC was on the lowest degree yet I was unable to sleep due to the heat. Staff were friendly, price was expensive as you’d expect in London. The location was quite far from the center but its a 2 min walk from the DLR station. Overall good stay.

Negativ: Aircon was not very good. And the hotel did not seem that good for a 4* hotel, would definitely not pay full price.

Positiv: Superangenehme Lage, bisschen ausserhalb der City, aber doch gut erreichbar mit Tram und Tube. Ruhiges und sehr sicheres Quartier, schöne Promenade. Hotel ist relativ neu und bietet genügend Platz. Bequeme und grosse Betten, Dusche und Badewanne, separates WC, Wasserkocher und Kühlschrank und ein Flachbild-TV.

Negativ: Die Badewanne hat geleckt, danach war der Bereich neben dem Badzimmer direkt neben dem Bett nass und trocknete auch nicht mehr, da Teppichboden. Auch leckte wohl die Dusche, denn der Eingangsbereich roch immer bisschen "feucht und schimmelig" wegen dem nassen Teppich. Es gab KEINEN SCHRANK um die Wäsche unterzubringen, bei 2Personen im Zimmer war es nicht so angenehm. Für einen Kurzaufenthalt OK, aber wenn man mehrere Tage da ist, möchte man seine Kleidung auch nicht immer im Koffer verstauen.

Negativ: There were no facilities to make hot drinks in the room. but the bar area on the ground floor provided all of the refreshments we required.

Negativ: Die Lage ist ca 45-60 min mit der Bahn von der Innenstadt. Beim Frühstück hätte ich mir gewünscht, dass es zumindest eine Käseplatte gibt. Das warme Frühstück war auch etwas mäßig, weshalb die Auswahl sehr eingeschränkt war Im Zimmer selbst gibt es keine Schränke, als Ablagemöglichkeit dient der Tisch und der Sessel

Negativ: Das Personal war nicht sehr freundlich - insb. eine Dame ratterte ihren Standardtext zur Einweisung herunter, um dann recht forsch direkt beim Check-in den gesamten Betrag inkl. Parkplatz für 16 Pfund einzufordern. Das Frühstück entspricht nicht europäischem Standard. Schlimmste Nacht auf der Durchreise, da ein schmales 1,20 m Bett für 2 Erwachsene als Elternbett fungierte und für die Kinder vor dem Fenster ( welches nicht zu öffnen ist) ein Sofa als Schlafgelegenheit umgebaut wurde. Dessen Matratze war so dünn, dass man den Metallkern spürte. Eher etwas für Fakire oder Menschen unter 1,50m.... Wer denkt, das Alkohol eine Lösung wäre, wird an der Bar enttäuscht. Das bestellte Guinness welches auf dem Zapfhahn angepriesen wird, wurde kurzerhand aus der Dose entnommen.

Positiv: Staff were amazing!!!!!! They were so lovely and friendly with our boys! The food was brilliant! Location was perfect for the 02. Price was amazing for London!

Negativ: Nothing we didn't like!

Positiv: The welcome staff and bar staff were great

Negativ: The room size was cramped

Positiv: Staff, excellent.

Negativ: Just be mindful they don't have a lift but are happy to assist with luggage. We were on 2nd floor.

Positiv: It’s location to the ExCel

Negativ: The room was classed as a suite which it certainly wasn’t. On one day our tea, coffee and milk was replaced and clean towels were put in bathroom but the bed was left unmade and used coffee cups which were brought up to the room along with wine glasses were just left. Consider the cost for the three nights which was outrageous it was appalling.

Positiv: Very friendly and helpful staff, nothing was too much for them.

Negativ: The Food and drink was a bit pricey, but having said that the food was excellent, and plenty of it.

Positiv: Clean and comfortable.

Negativ: There was a very unusual smell in the bathroom that I had to report to reception on checking out. You are right next to London City Airport, so planes are very very close. The noise is outstanding. Windows in room are not triple glazed.

Positiv: Great location, free car park, friendly staff, nice pub and food and comfortable

Positiv: Close to Excel . Good bed

Negativ: Too Small showers, air codirionee is not working well ,

Positiv: Fast alles. Super Lage fußläufig nahe an der DLR, kostenfreier Parkplatz, stabiles WLAN, nettes Personal und wider Erwarten nachts sehr ruhig.

Negativ: Die Rezeption ist leider nicht 24h aktiv besetzt. Wenn man das nicht weiß, und es morgens eilig hat mit der Abreise: Der Parkplatz - ausreichend groß und kostenfrei - war um 06:00 leider noch mit Schlagbaum und Vorhangschloss verriegelt und vor Ort war niemand zu erreichen, der das hätte öffnen können. Etwas ungünstig, wenn man zur Fähre muss... bin dann über die Terrasse gefahren, hat gerade eben so gepasst. Mag am Sonntag liegen. Durchaus möglich, dass unter der Woche früher geöffnet wird. Es fehlt trotzdem ein deutlich formuliertes Warnschild. Würde mein Auto dort nicht noch einmal einschließen lassen, wenn eine frühe Abreise geplant ist.

Positiv: Super nah zur Messe Excel und prima inhouse Pub

Negativ: etwas laut da direkt am Flughafen Fenster konnten in der 3. Etgae im Zimmer nicht geöffnet werden!!!

Positiv: Room was very clean

Negativ: Was very hot in the room.

Positiv: Fantastic crew.

Negativ: Basic facilities, room smelled of smoke

Positiv: Geräumige Zimmer. Das Restaurant ist wirklich gut und das Frühstück war sehr gut. Das Personal war zuvorkommend und professionell, immer bereit zu helfen. Tolles Preis/Leistungsverhältnis.

Negativ: Die Lage war eine Herausforderung! Es ist ein wenig zu weit zu Fuß zum DLR zu laufen. Und weit weg vom Londoner Zentrum.

Positiv: Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet und das Restaurant hat uns angenehm überrascht. Am Abend haben wir in der Bar noch etwas kleines gegessen und es war sehr reichhaltig und lecker.

Negativ: WLAN war nicht so gut wie man das sonst von anderen Hotels in London. Das ganze Hotel sah ein wenig abgenutzt aus und könnte mal renoviert werden.

Positiv: There was nothing we liked about the hotel

Negativ: This was by far the worst hotel we’ve stayed at!!! The service we received was terrible! Every time we asked about an enquiry, the staff were either rude or money always had to be involved. We asked if we could have cutleries brought up to our room, and they had such an attitude about it and told us that they couldn’t provide it for us because of “health and safety reasons”. Even that didn’t make any sense because people have the option to have their breakfast and eat UPSTAIRS WITH THEIR KNIFE AND FORK. What also made things worse was that there was no fridge, and the heater was broken. If you are trying to stay at a hotel for more than a day, I would highly suggest looking for a hotel that has the important things you need. Like having a window that opens would be great!!!! Like we felt trapped. It genuinely felt like there was no air coming in. We even asked if we could change rooms because of how cold things were in there, but no one listened. It wasn’t until the last day that they decided to do something about the heater. My boyfriend and I have stayed in many numerous hotels before, and have never experienced this kind of a service before. If it was me, I would honestly recommend staying somewhere else! No joke, I want all my money back.... because that hotel is the worst!

Positiv: The room was great, the general service and room service too! Very clean, and warm and welcoming staff. Very close to East London main metro stations, which was perfect for me on that weekend. I also liked the view over the river when you go outside of the hotel. For those arriving or flying from London City airport, this hotel is perfectly located!

Negativ: The price of course, because we always want to pay less in the end. But I didn't regret my choice anyway after spending those two nights at DoubleTree because they treat their customers very well.

Positiv: Good area nice and clean

Positiv: Highly recommend. Easy to park and after a small walk to the excel to catch the tube very easy to get in to London.

Positiv: Staff need to be better trained in language skills. As was very difficult understanding what she wanted to say but was helpful so not really her fault but I guess lack of training.

Negativ: Rooms being too cramped and small. Had to change to a different 1 which was little bigger.

Negativ: Due to confusion of how many guests (paper work clearly said 2 & 1 4 year old) we was then placed in to a room with only a double bed made up. Had to go and request someone make the sofa bed up.

Positiv: The breakfast is delicious and good room after a long day

Negativ: No free mineral water

Positiv: The rooms were lovely we loved our room just a bit gutted about the view wish we had a room with a better view but it was not a big deal

Negativ: The staff were lovely and very helpful and the place was well lookd after and very clean.

Positiv: Sehr gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis und praktisch. Guter Service und ein kostenloses Frühstück, gute Lage für ExCel Veranstaltungen und Flughafen. etwas unpraktisch wenn man Central London besuchen will, aber ansonsten keine Beschwerden!

Positiv: Rooms are simple but comfortable. Buffet breakfast. Staff pleasant.

Negativ: It's right beside London City airport so good if you're using that. Otherwise I found it a. It in the middle of nowhere so not a great location if you're a tourist. Having said that it's also right beside the DLR you can use that to get you where you want.

Positiv: The breakfest was a surprise. So good and fresh. Better than in many higher class hotels

Negativ: It was not possible to book 2 rooms in one go on internet. Hence I booked two two times one room on my name which caused quite some confusion at the beginning. Also annoiyng was that the hotel was overbooked when we arrived. It ended up that I got a disabled room.

Positiv: I didn't really like anything except that the airport was close by.

Negativ: I couldn't beive there was only 30 minutes of free wifi. AND no TELEPHONE. The TV looked like a computer. Don't let me continue.

Positiv: Our second year here for the weekend of the Ride 100 London Surrey, parking is reasonable however very tight, we paid £7.50 for 24hrs so checked in quite late, seems a busy hotel particularly due to the cycle event and Excel being on the doorstep, any event there makes this the ideal place to stay as it's a walk to Excel. right next to city airport and close to DLR, noise over night was not an issue in our room, although the train runs till midnight we could hear it didn't bother us, stayed in room 227.

Negativ: The Car Park is inadequate however there is parking at Excel which is just a 5 min walk.
