Positiv: An absolutely fantastic find- super friendly staff, a quirky well appointed boutique hotel with excellent attention to detail.

Negativ: No toilet brush! And parking is tight although the scecondat parking location is well secured.

Positiv: The location was ideal for where I was working the following day (across the street). Food was excellent. Staff were great, friendly and willing to help. Room was comfy and clean. There was very little noise, but they had put me in a quiet section of the hotel. Overall, if I find myself in Luton again, I will definitely stay here.

Negativ: There was nothing not to like. I suppose the car parking seems a bit limited, but I could get in. The evening menu might not suit you if you don't like Italian food, but really there is nothing at all to complain about.

Negativ: Das hotel befindet sich direkt an einer großen Straße. Da die Fenster aber sehr gut isoliert waren, hat man von dem Verkehr wenig gehört.

Diese sind aber sehr lecker aus dem Holzofen mit Teig gemacht, welcher 24 Stunden ausgeruht hat. Ein Gedicht von einer Pizza, sehr empfehlenswert! Die mit unterschiedlichen Film-Themen ausgestattete Stockwerke und Zimmer sind eine gute Idee...

Negativ: Relativ kleiner Zimmer, für eine Nacht spielte dies aber keine Rolle.

Positiv: Quiet, clean, friendly helpful staff, everything I needed for a short stay - toiletries, great hair dryer, cotton sheets, tea/coffee. I didn't want to leave! Thanks to you all. I'll definitely book again.

Negativ: Only one small gripe - if you could you fit a wider shower screen over the bath (in room 100) it would be perfect! The water pressure is great, but it splashes all over the floor!

Positiv: The bed was very comfortable and room size was generous. We felt like there was sufficient space for two adults and one toddler, even when he slept in bed with us. The indoor pool was great for kids.

Negativ: Although they are considered kid friendly, the kids meals were never prioritised! Some of us were waiting over 45 minutes for kids meals to arrive, only to find that it was the wrong item ordered. Breakfast was okay, but pastries weren’t great.

Positiv: Breakfast in the Wernher Restaurant was very nice - the room is spectacular, as is the view if you don't get seated next to the para vent that hides the kitchen entrance or by far worse get sent to the Adam`s Brasserie. The whole estate is wonderful with lovely paths twining through the estate which also has a well visited golf course. Lovely spa and swimming pool area. It is very quiet in the evenings and during the night. Room was very clean, typical old English furniture. There were two gentlemen attending to guests at the entrance to the Wernher restaurant - these two met up with 5* expectations, as did the men at the door and the "Mansion" itself.

Negativ: The reception desk was not very helpful with information about places to visit, we asked for some information we were told to look on internet - a few days later we found a small area, adjacent to the lobby, with loads of pamphlets and leaflets about places to visit. We booked on two evenings the Wernher restaurant and Adam`s Brasserie - both were a disappointment. Although the Wernher restaurant has a wonderful setting, well worth the 5* with beautiful wall tapestries and fine table setting - the food was unfortunately not of a high standard. Wine was served from two different corked bottles in the same glass. The Adam`s Brasserie was far worse - the food was absolutely terrible. The Breakfast in this area is totally not 5* and very poor. Table decoration as in a roadside cafe, cobwebs on the lighting free of charge. Definitely not up to standard. Staff trying to solve problems with breakfast seating were discussing things in front of us - also something you do not wish to hear as a guest. The water in the bathroom smelt of chlorine, a lamp was out of order. We didn't visit the sauna as swimsuits are to be worn at all times - something Europeans don't understand but respect. I would suggest avoiding the Brasserie if you have taste buds and only dining in the Wernher Restaurant for the overall experience. There are far better restaurants in Harpenden or Saint Albans.

Easy access to other areas incl London via train. The owner did even more than we could have expected and gave us very valuable tips for visiting London and nearby. Positiv: Wir kamen spät nachts an, was netterweise kein Problem war. Dann wurden wir zwar auf zwei Zimmer aufgeteilt, obwohl wir ein Familienzimmer gebucht hatten. Irgendwo hab es ein Missverständnis. Beide Zimmer waren jedoch sehr schön und sauber. Wir mussten auch keinen Aufschlag bezahlen. Das Frühstück war gut und reichlich!

Negativ: Nachteile: Das Personal hat uns über die Zeit, die für den Anflug zum Flughafen benötigt wird, falsch informiert und wir waren morgens um 04:00 Uhr unterwegs, ohne die Möglichkeit zu haben, das Frühstück zu nehmen, für das wir bezahlt haben. Der Shuttlebus-Anschluss wird zu stark ins Visier genommen, wenn es tatsächlich 5 Minuten dauert, bis der Flughafen erreicht ist. Wir waren 2,5 Stunden vor unserem Flug, als wir einfach und entspannt frühstücken konnten. Schlechte Informationen vom Rezeptionspersonal!

Negativ: We did not know that you had to put keycard into the wall to power up the room. We were tired and laughed it off though.

Positiv: Room was well set up, bed was super comfy and everything clean and fresh. Breakfast was included in price and a lovely choice ...lovely berry compote and option to bag rolls etc and take with you...great for early flights. Walking distance to airport.

Negativ: Reception was efficient when they arrived...had to wait a few minutes

Positiv: The room was larger than average, the bed was very comfortable with good quality pillows and bedding. Bathroom was good. Had everything I needed. Breakfast was included and a cold buffet is available from 4am, hot (ie bacon, sausages, eggs) from I think 6am. There were to go cups for tea/coffee and paper bags for croissants which was very handy for an early morning flight.

Negativ: Wasn’t sure where the entrance was - it is actually in the car park at the rear of the building. You get 10mins free in their car park which we weren’t aware of so drop off was a little stressful as we stopped elsewhere.

Positiv: Just few minutes away on foot from the airport. Quite spacious rooms.

Negativ: The continental breakfast (served from 4 am) is too basic. If you have an early plane to catch, be prepared to just have a muffin or cereal.

Negativ: It was a cold day and the heater was terrible. The staff did their best by trying to make the wall heater work and even brought up a portable radiator. No matter how nice the room, being cold colours ones perceptions. Having to sit in the room with 4 layers of clothes was horrible. I stayed in motorway services and B&Bs with warmer rooms. Not what I expect from a Hilton. The staff were wonderful though

Negativ: Papierdünne Wände zwischen den Zimmern. Man konnte alles hören, was los war. Sehr schlechtes Frühstück, das war nicht der Hilton Marke gerecht. Das Frühstück war überraschenderweise nicht besser in der Qualität als ein Premier Inn. Premier Inn schneidet besser ab in Bezug auf Ruhe. Deren Türen nicht schlagen nicht so laut zu.

Positiv: Hotel is located in a quiet area of Luton. Well maintained hotel with great facilities. Gym was modern and well kept. The availability of an ice machine in the corridor was a nice touch as well.

Staff didn’t accept him had to wait till i arrive, staff weren’t apologetic at all. Also had NO service in my room, wifi didn’t work well either

Negativ: The mattresses on the bed the moment you turn you can hear the springs in it. So it was a bit uncomfortable to sleep on. Secondly, the pub closes at 01.00am and I understand about the noise and people about to leave. Some people stayed outside the pub on the benches and kept on with their conversations till 02.30am and that completely ruined mine and my wife's sleep.

Negativ: Inaccurate times given at check-in about kitchen times so had to go back into town as missed chef. Bathroom was ok, just VERY small.... Had to ask for continental style breakfast, Full English presented as default.

Negativ: Only one item. No chair in our room. As my wife suffers from back problems a chair as standard equipment would have been more practical than sitting on a bed. The hotel, while charming and excellent value for money is extremely hard to find if you don't know the area. My satnav did not recognise the post code, and we drove around the area for about an hour looking for it. We found it eventually, but the access is quite well hidden, with only one half concealed sign to the location of the "village". Leaving was easier as it was daytime, but access in the dark is very difficult.

Positiv: This place is SO lovely, charming, and sweet, and all of the staff so caring and very, very friendly! Loved staying here - was only for one night and wished I could have stayed longer!! Also, wonderful full English warm breakfast!

Negativ: Die Lage ist nachts für Frauen unangenehm , da sich viele Jugendliche , sämtlicher Hautfarben da an dem Platz aufhalten . Außerdem ist das Hotel schwer zu finden da es in einer Shopping Mall ist und ich habe da nachts keine Beleuchtung gesehen , musste mich da durchfragen . Dann an der Rezeption eine junge Frau im dicken Wollpullover die schrecklich nach Schweiß gerochen hat . Dann nehmen die kein Bargeld , geht alles nur auf Karte , selbst ein Wasser für 1 Pfund sollte ich mit Karte bezahlen . Das Bett sehr weich , ich habe nicht gut geschlafen , aber die Wäsche und Handtücher sauber An den dunkel gestrichenen Wänden blätterte die Farbe ab Das Bad werde ich mit Foto dokumentieren , was soll ich da groß schreiben , der Duschkopf ist anscheinend neu , alles andere total verkalkt und zwischen den Kacheln fehlt Silikon

Negativ: Parking was a nightmare and as a disabled person it’s somewhere I wouldn’t recommend to those less able to walk. Coming out the hotel at 3am to then find out I couldn’t get into the car park the way we came in and having to walk 15 mins plus walking thorough the street at that time was quite unnerving

Positiv: Ohne Frühstück für ca 40eur in einem DZ, das Zimmer war sauber, groß genug für das Gepäck und bot alles was man für eine einfache Übernachtung benötigte. 10min zu Fuß zum Terminal. Nächstes Mal wieder.

Positiv: The hotel was great - staff, clean, amenities. Extremely comfortable if you have a flight early in the morning and you have a baby and dont want to have a long ride in the morning. We already booked a room for our next trip.

Negativ: We booked a room with a queen size bed, but there was just a standard double.

Negativ: I was repeatedly disturbed during my late checkout. I had very delayed flight so I was trying to sleep. Huge disappointment, but I was refunded for the late checkout at least.

Negativ: Bed was a little hard for my liking but that is just my problem and could do with being able to open window a little more on the hottest day of the year but overall was really impressed.

Negativ: Waiting for breakfast every day 30 min!! Tragedy!!

Positiv: Price is excellent considering I booked on the day I wanted to stay as the wheelwrights cancelled my booking at 5pm! Very accommodating, food is really good and being above a pub certainly has its advantages ;) Breakfast in the morning was lovely and is included in the price! Room was spot on, bed was comfy and bathroom had everything you needed!

Negativ: The room was cold and the heater/radiator wasn’t working. Slept feeling cold the whole night. Fire/alarm goes off unexpectedly and can wake you up in the middle of the night.

Positiv: Nice to get fresh made breakfast. We took the classic English Breakfast. The atmosphere was very nice, such as local pubs usually have.

Negativ: The room we are allocated smells only of smoke. The second room also but less.

Positiv: Room was clean and comfortable. The landlord was very helpful and carried my bag to the room. The cask ales on the bar. Central location in Luton.

Negativ: The waitress at breakfast did not ask me for my order when she brought my colleague's breakfast. I had to go and chase her to place my order.

Positiv: Gute Lage,Preisreduktion trotz Umbuchung problemlos Kleine Küche im Zimmer samt Ausstattung und Kühlschrank Lärmdichte Fenster Gute Lage - nicht mal 10min vom Bahnhof

Negativ: Trotz lärmdichter Fenster hörte man durch die nicht verschließbare Lüftung sämtliche Straßengeräusche Nur eine dünne Decke bei 10Grad Außentemperatur Fön stark beschädigt Dusche heruntergekommen

Negativ: A strange smell in the room. Moldy bathroom and extractor fans didn't work.

Positiv: The guy in reception names Lorell was most pleasant , polite and helpful. Room answered all my needs.

Negativ: The street was a bit scary at night

Positiv: Everything & it has a 24 hour shop which is open 365 days per year & next door literally attached to the hotel which sells absolutely everything food wise.

Negativ: my shower door needs an upgrade.

Negativ: Sauberkeit war unter aller Kanone. Schimmel Spinnweben ect...

Positiv: I have stayed her before and all was ok. Unfortunately this time my room had not been cleaned properly and I had the horrible experience of finding a used sanitary towel in the bathroom!! Very unpleasant! If that had not been cleaned what else had not been cleaned? Bad housekeeping! Reception staff were friendly but I will not recommend or ever stay here again!!!

Positiv: The staff were lovely, very helpful and the bed was very comfortable

Negativ: I couldn't sleep despite the bed being very comfortable as unfortunately there were a few people outside of the building who were talking loudly at 3.00am as if it was the middle of the day!! I discovered that there is an off license right next door that must be open practically all night, attracting very noisy people right outside my window in the middle of the night and making it impossible to sleep. My room was No.11 upstairs. The street outside of the hotel is also dirty with rubbish in the street and doesn't feel very safe at night.

Positiv: The young man on reception was great, very helpful

Negativ: The room was very tiny with beds for 3 people but very little space for suitcases. Area is a bit rough.

Positiv: Handy with 24 hour reception, and easy connection to airport and railway. 11am checkout is better than the norm - 10am - and allows me to get some work done, if need be.

Negativ: Location is a boisterous, so not ideal to be overlooking the road.

Positiv: The staff was fabulous! Very profesional and helpful - thank you so much! Great location, does the job for someone travelling in and out of Luton (10-15 mins away in taxi).

Negativ: Loud room, very acoustic, people in rooms next door woke me up several times during the night.

Positiv: Convenient location on main road, easy to find. Good parking facilities. Proximity to airport. Petrol station opposite. Generally very clean. Comfortable beds. Staff polite and helpful.

Negativ: Dry bread at breakfast table. An extra electrical application in the room would have been welcome, shaving charging phone etc. Although room clean, objects found under bed from previous guests stay !

Positiv: Ein Parkplatz gehört mit zum Hotel und kann kostenlos genutzt werden.

Negativ: Zimmer waren dreckig. In der Dusche viel Schimmel und Möbel im Zimmer waren defekt. Das Fenster war kaputt und ließ sich nicht schließen, sodass die ganze Nacht lauter Straßenlärm zu hören war. Das Frühstück wird nicht nachgefüllt und ist nicht frisch... Es liegt verschimmeltes Obst im Korb.

Negativ: Room was in basement which is maybe not important as we stayed after long flight and wanted to catch up with sleep. Toilet was making massive noise , towels were smelly chemically ..and my partner car was robbed outside the hotel along with other few cars. Definitely Luton it’s not the place to stay seems very rough

Negativ: There was no parking at the hotel and we were told to drive away and park in the car park at a distance. We drove to the car park which was an unpleasant area and we felt unsafe walking around at 2am in the morning. Therefore we took the decision to drive home. Had we been told prior to arrival we that there wasn't parking we would not have booked with them

Positiv: The place is very clean and tidy. Visited several times before when visiting family in Luton and will continue to use. Very clean and tidy. Good room size. Staff friendly and approachable.

Negativ: Nothing we didn't like.

Positiv: Mir hat eigtl gar nichts gefallen. I actually didnt like anything about it!

Negativ: Es war insgesamt schäbig und miniklein und wir hatten Sorge uns was einzufangen. Die letzte Absteige ehrlich. Von mir gibt es keine Empfehlung, auch nicht für nur eine Nacht.

Positiv: The staff were nice enough and the rooms were as expected for the price.

Negativ: The location was evidently poor when there were dozens of police cars outside on arrival. Drug addicts congregated outside and begged us for money within 5mins of us arriving.
