Positiv: We really enjoyed our overnight stay. The property was easy to find, the parking for the car was right at the door and check in was simple. The room was lovely and clean, the beds were comfortable with good quality bedding. The block out curtains meant we were able to get a nice sleep in in the morning. We opted to pay the extra for breakfast and I’m glad we did. The Full English was delicious and very generous in size. There was a great assortment of pastries & baked items for the Continental breakfast also. I highly recommend staying here.

Positiv: The proprietors were lovely. The best part of staying there was they picked us up from the airport one day and drove us there the next for our flight out. It was so nice not to have to worry about transportation. Breakfast was made to order and very good. Bed was comfortable. Room spacious enough. Good restaurants in walking distance.

Positiv: Comfortable, efficient room conveniently located near the Gatwick airport in the neighboring town of Horley. Made-to-order breakfast was delicious. Hosts picked us up and delivered us back to Gatwick airport. The B&B is a 10 minute walk into Horley town with a variety of restaurants.

Negativ: Not a complaint and it may be listed in the hotel details but for breakfast only options are continental, eggs and kippers. Wasn't an issue for me but don't be expecting a full English......

Positiv: From the moment we arrived Quasim was so friendly and helpful. We stayed at The Lawn Guest House as we were due to fly from Gatwick early the following morning. The location was great, literally 5 minutes drive to the airport. We are quite new to travel and Quasim helped us so much, booking us a taxi (driven by Quasims mum, she was lovely too) to take us to the airport, explaining what we had to do and where we had to go. He really did settle my nerves. We also left our vehicle at the Lawn Guest House for the duration of our holiday and it was well looked after. Again nothing for us to worry about. Our room was clean and comfortable, unfortunately for us the people in the room above or behind us were quite noisy, so we didn't get a lot of sleep, but this is no reflection on the property at all. Its just bad luck.

Negativ: We were really happy with our stay. For the money that we paid, I would not have expected anymore. The owner, was friendly and so helpful and the room clean and comfortable. What more can you ask for?

Positiv: I stayed here for one night before a flight from Gatwick. There’s lots of places to eat nearby. The breakfast was perfect and only £5 and for £8 I got a lift to the airport too. Great host. Great place. Would come again.

Der Shuttledienst ist absolut zuverlässig. Trotz der direkten Lage zum Flughafen ist es ruhig. Frühstück wird frisch zubereitet und es gibt die Option English Breakfast oder Kontinentales Frühstück, was selten angeboten wird. Im Gesamten ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis

Negativ: Wir waren im Nebenhaus einquartiert. Leider sind hier die Wände sehr dünn und man konnte den Nachbar hören wenn er den Lichtschalter benutzt hat. Es war eine schlaflose Nacht, da wir alle Bewegungen im Haus sehr laut gehört haben.

Positiv: The room was small but adequate, the staff were very helpful and friendly and the transfers from and to the airport we're on time and quick.

Negativ: The door to my room was hard to close. A shower in the room would be good and a bit more space. Overall the room was very small but clean and comfy.

Positiv: The location is excellent. Although I arrived in the middle of the night the courtesy bus took no time at all to pick me up. Breakfast was fine but not outstanding in any way. The whole place had an air of efficiency. The bathroom was small but everything worked well and was clean.

Negativ: It's a long time since I stayed in such a small room. I had two cases and the only place I could put them in the room was up against the door. Thank goodness there wasn't a fire. That being said I was only staying one night and the room was clean, and the (single) bed confortable enough

Positiv: VERY convenient well run hotel if catching an early flight or arriving back late.The restaurants in the quadrangle are all good BUT VERY busy. However all was not lost we had a drink at an upstairs bar which was relaxed and chilled. Then the restaurant was available .

Negativ: The Dinner eating is a wee bit frenetic which is not surprising really and if u havent booked there is little chance of getting in ! But have a drink at the upstairs bar having made a reservation at the restaurant we had abt a 40 minute wait but it was worth it...and not surprising when everyone staying there is looking for food at the same time!

Negativ: 1. had previously communicated to the hotel my arrival time, around 6:00pm. When I reached the hotel, it was 5:40pm and could not check in right away as they ask for a penalty for earlier check in... I found that quite ridiculous. 2. The room was extremely small. I guess It was 200cmx200cm. I understand in a capsule hotel space is extremely limited, however the rate room was overpriced.

Positiv: Perfect for grabbing some sleep before early flights out. The pods are very quiet and have the basics needed - good bed, TV and toilet/shower area. There's no real space on the floor so if you have lots of luggage it'd be a squeeze. The shops and restaurants of landside departures are a floor down so easy for picking up something to eat and drink (there is no fridge or drink making facilities but you and ask for tea or coffee at reception)

Negativ: They are quite expensive - some of the surrounding hotels generally have cheaper rooms. You're paying for the convenience of being IN the airport departure lounge

Positiv: Found it quite funny just about to enter my room when I over heard a lady ask the man on reception do you have a room for one hour.!

Negativ: Could not make the room totally dark, maybe should of spoken to the reception person.

Positiv: Really convenient spot and easy to access. Staff were friendly and helpful and the room itself was compact and had everything you'd need for a short stay. Great for those flights when you need a place to crash before or after flying.

Positiv: Perfect location inside South Terminal of Gatwick airport. Ideal for early departures or very late arrivals. Comfortable bed . Al the essential facilities for an overnight stay. Plenty of restaurants @nd shops within a minute.

Negativ: Too warm - duvet was too heavy. Air conditi9ning was a little too loud. Basin plug couldn’t be closed; water drained away as I tried to wash and shave. Be prepared for tight dimensions.

Negativ: Wirellos funktionierte nicht, das Zimmer war sehr klein, auch das Badezimmer war nicht vorhanden. Ohne Internet war es eine große Unannehmlichkeit, Flüge für den nächsten Tag ohne Daten zu betrachten.

Positiv: Wie angekündigt, komfortables und funktionales Zimmer zu einem erschwinglichen Preis, nur ein paar Minuten entfernt von Flughafensicherheit und Bahnhof. Der verfügbare Platz ist ziemlich eng, also erwarten Sie nicht viel "genießen" (obwohl das Bett sehr bequem ist und die Dusche sehr schön ist), dies ist kein Freizeithotel, sondern eher eine Unterkunft im Stil "erledigen".

Negativ: Nach dem Gebrauch der Dusche ist der Boden nass, wenn Sie die toilette benutzen müssen, nachdem Sie auf Wasser treten und dann wieder auf den Teppich gehen. Wieder funktionell, aber weniger als ideal. Möglicherweise sollte der Boden in der Dusche leicht geneigt sein, damit er schneller abtropft/trocknet.

Positiv: So praktisch im South Terminal am Flughafen Gatwick. Sauber und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht für eine Nacht. Wir haben keine Flugzeuge hören können, was mir vorher Sorgen machte.

Negativ: A cabin with only one stool to sit on except of the bed. The shower wets the whole bathroom.

Positiv: It was very conveniently located if somewhat hidden away, and the bed / pillows were very comfortable!

Negativ: The room was tiny, with no space to put anything. For the price we paid, we could have been afforded at least one seat!

Positiv: Perfekte Lage, direkt am Terminal, gerade einmal 50 Mster von der Rezeption und man ist bei der Gepäckaufgabe. Besser geht es nicht. Schöne, großzügige Zimmer, grosses WC und Bad, hell und freundlich, und absolut sauber. Aussergewöhnlich kompetentes und freundliches Personal am Empfang. Eine echte Empfehlung.

Negativ: Die Steuerung der Klimaanlage ist nicht selbsterklärend, funktionert aber nach einigem Probieren.

Positiv: typisches englisches Frühstück mit Bohnen und Bacon. Auch wenn es ja eher einen schlechten Ruf hat, war alles sehr lecker und auch überraschend vielfältig. Etwas störend ist der ganze Verpackungsmüll, den man gezwungen ist zu produzieren. Dies ist jedoch ein allgemein englisches Problem.

Negativ: The music was a bit loud at breakfast time as travelling with my brother who has autism and epilepsy . This needs to be taken into consideration in all establishments as it really does upset people with these conditions and of course their carers/family . My brother and I loved the breakfast though. Positiv: Wie für ein Holiday Inn erwartet, war das Personal fantastisch, großartige Lage, wenn Sie ein schnelles Übernachtungshotel für einen frühen Morgenflug wünschen. Der GBP3-Shuttlebus dauert nur etwa 15 Minuten von Gatwick South und nur 5-10 Minuten vom Hotel nach Gatwick South. Alles in allem ein tolles Schnäppchen für nur 49 GBP.

Negativ: Das Zimmer hatte keine Minibar/Minikühlschrank, was ein Schmerz war, weil ich einige Dinge hatte, die ich für den nächsten Flug frisch halten wollte. Auch sehr wenig kostenlose tv-Kanäle im Vergleich zu ihren "100+-Sendern"-Werbung. Die Matratze war nicht das, was man in einem 5-Sterne-Hotel (offensichtlich) bekommen würde, aber definitiv besser als Ihr durchschnittliches Budget-Hotel.

Positiv: The room was amazingly spacious for an airport hotel. Beautifully comfortable beds and spotlessly clean bathroom. Couldn’t have asked for more! Staff were very attentive and friendly, especially the bar/restaurant.

Negativ: a few more smiles from the receptionists wouldn’t have gone amiss! I left my travel wallet on the counter, it had my name and bookings etc. but no one bothered to call my room to tell me they had it. Poor show.

Positiv: Das frühstück war super! Tolle Auswahl. Das Abendessen musste extra bezahlt werden, aber auch da gab es eine gute Auswahl und ein tolles Angebot, mit Vorspeise, Hauptgericht und Nachtisch, wenn man will. Zudem konnte auch die Uhrzeit des Essens gewählt werden. Auch der Service hat überzeugt! Alles andere war wie erwartet und sehr gut.

My wife had fish and chips and I had a burger and chips, I would guess my wife's fish and my chips had been reheated from lunch. We did complain and recieved a discount but we would much rather have had an edible meal!

Positiv: Well located, clean and convenient - excellent value for money. Despite the fact that we didn’t interact with the hosts in person as we arrived after check in had closed, the communication via booking.com and the notes they left meant everything was seamless in terms of entry and then the transfer to the airport in the morning. Complimentary taxi to the airport was a big factor in our booking. Tea and coffee facilities in the room which were helpful for the early start.

Negativ: Nothing. It’s dated in terms of decor so some guests may not like that, same with the shared bathrooms. But that’s all advertised and you can’t complain for the price.

Keine Chance die Meile vom/zum Flughafen zu laufen, das man hin gebracht wird ist nett, aber um ins Guesthouse zu kommen, vor allem wenn´s dunkel ist, ist schwierig. Taxi kostet 11 Pfund. Für eine Meile. Adapter für europ. Steckdosen kostet über 3 Pfund. Ausleihen, nicht kaufen.

Positiv: Sehr gute Lage, von Flughafen Gatwick nur 10 Minuten mit Bus, und Gastgeber bietet auch kostenlose Transfer nach Flughafen gatwick an.

Negativ: Die Transfer nach Flughafen kam 15 Minuten später, anders alles super

Positiv: Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und schien vor kurzem renoviert worden zu sein. Ich mag es, dass es koffeinfreien Kaffee gab. Die Leute an der Rezeption waren besonders hilfsbereit.

Negativ: Keine Papiertücher, Toilettenartikeln und Haartrockner im Zimmer

Positiv: The reception staff are always really nice and in the mornings and it's always nice and calm in the restaurant for breakfast. They have a good range of breakfast food and a 24hr bar so there's always somewhere to go other than your room

Negativ: The towles smelt like curry Which was off putting and house keeping were quite rude. The main issue is that there's nothing to do or anywhere to go in the area. You have to get a bus or taxi everywhere you go.

Positiv: convenient to the airport

Positiv: Complimentary breakfast buffet was great. Bed was decently comfortable.

Negativ: Room had an old musty/mouldy smell. Wifi was free for only 30 min. Towels didn't smell clean. Room overall needed to be updated. Stayed here because we had a flight layover overnight out of Gatwick and thought we could just walk to to hotel, but it's actually about a 5 min cab ride from airport.

Positiv: The room and bed were fine

Negativ: My supper of half a chicken with slaw was inedible .The chips were soggy and cold,the chicken was dry and overcooked and serving it on a bed of lettuce made sure it was luke warm .Very disappointing.

Negativ: Das Hotel ist veraltet. Gott sei Dank, bekam ich ein Upgrade auf ein neueres Zimmer. Die Matratze ist sehr, sehr hart. Um zum Zimmer, zu kommen, müssen Sie jede Menge zu Fuß gehen. Das Hotel muss ernsthaft renoviert werden. Weil die Optionen begrenzt sind bei einem Nachtflug.

Negativ: Sehr alte Einrichtung im Zimmer und Bad, das Bett war unbequem, fehlende Handtücher und nur ein Kopfkissen waren vorhanden

Negativ: Wir konnten nur eine funktionierende Eismaschine im Hotel finden. Die Bettwanzen, die wir entdeckten, waren nicht sehr angenehm.

Negativ: The bed was horrific, so hard and uncomfortable and noisy! Woke me everytime I moved slightly.

Positiv: The location was perfect for Gatwick Airport and where we had parked the car

Negativ: The hotel is advertised as sound proofed rooms but it is not, we could hear the cars parking in the carpark which was next to our room (even after asking for a quiet room), lots of noise from the corridor. The water to fill the bath was lukewarm whilst it was boiling in the sink. My credit card was charged £20 without no explanation so i phoned from my holiday to be told it was incidentals which was not explained to me at the time of checking in

Negativ: Das Zimmer war schlecht beleuchtet, sehr ungemütlich und leidetr auch sehr schmutzig. Das Bett war viel zu hart. Das Badezimmer war leider auch sehr schmutzig.

Positiv: The room was good. The staff are friendly. It is conveniently close to Gatwick airport. Transport was organised by the lodge at a reasonable rate.

Positiv: Being able to leave the car in a safe place, and be transported very quickly and efficiently to and from the airport.

Negativ: Breakfast - there could have been a better selection - fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals etc.

Positiv: The staff were great very helpful, the breakfast was good plenty of it and the place and room were very clean.

Negativ: The sheets didn't fit the bed so it was uncomfortable and the duvet was also too small which meant the covers didn't cover us properly.

Negativ: We must have waited to do the Check in outside the building at night time as the recepcionist had to drive some people to the airport at the same time. Understable but not very nice for the guests (us).

Positiv: No time for breakfast - had to leave at 6.30 to catch a plane, but excellent transfer service to Gatwick airport.

Negativ: My room was at the very top of 2 flights of very steep stairs; fortunately the receptionist helped me by carrying up my suitcase.

Negativ: Difficulty understanding the staff over the phone. Did not have good reception on Wi-Fi in the room. There was a charge for shuttle pick up at the airport and drop off that was not indicated on the email notifications. There are no outlets near the bed.

Positiv: Great location and affordable for a one night stay. Everything there that was need and staff friendly and approachable

Negativ: Additional parking fee for guests..should be included in price and eliminate pesky surprises.

Negativ: Der Shuttle-Service kostete 4 Pfund, aber das hat nichts mit dem Hotel direkt zu tun. Ich habe versucht, einen schnellen Weg zum Flughafen zu finden, war aber nicht in der Lage. Es war ziemlich im Hotel, aber der Autoverkehr war laut. Begrenztes wifi im Hotel, also wenn wifi wichtig ist, nicht das beste Hotel. Das Personal war freundlich und das Einchecken war einfach.

Positiv: Nähe zum Flughafen Gatwick.

Negativ: WiFi funktionierte nicht. Sofa im Zimmer war nur angezeigt.

Negativ: Virgin wifi - selbst die 7 £pro Tag Version - war inkonsistent und makellos und fiel häufig.

Positiv: Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Bequeme Betten . Alles sauber.

Positiv: We arrived at 930 and before I booked I checked to see if they had food, the website said restaurant and room service neither was open ona Saturday night, after along day of traveling. The staff was less than friendly or helpful! The walls are paper thin we could here conversations and people coughing throughout the night. I’ve stayed at Airbnb in the area with better hosts , nicer facilities, cleaner and quieter! Would not stay there again and do not recommend!

Positiv: Picture and the hotel is totally different

Negativ: The receptionist was v unfriendly, like he was doing me a favor. I emailed them in the morning to find out about shuttle services and didn’t receive a reply, and hassled to find my way to the hotel. I would definitely not stay there again!
