Positiv:: Das Ritz London ist ein wunderbares Hotel. Die Mitarbeiter sind das Herz des Hotels und tun alles, um dem Gast einen schönen Aufenthalt zu bereiten und ihn zu entlasten und zu unterstützen. Noch immer habe ich ein Lächeln im Gesicht, wenn ich daran denke wie herzlich sowohl der Empfang als auch die Verabschiedung waren. Das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen, die Produkte sind vielfältig und sehr lecker. Zu einem reichhaltigen Buffet mit ausgewählten und sehr frischen Produkten kann man aus der Karte Gerichte bestellen, die in der Küche frisch zubereitet werden. Der Service ist überaus freundlich und professionell und hat es nach unseren Beobachtungen nicht immer nur mit einfachen und freundlichen Gästen zu tun. Die Zimmer sind eine Augenweide, darüber hinaus bequem und alle Funktionalitäten sind vorhanden. Die Betten sind sehr bequem und bieten vor allem Platz. Das ist in englischen Hotels ansonsten nicht immer der Fall. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden sehr gerne wieder ins Ritz reisen.

Positiv:: The location is great. Right around the corner from the V&A and the Natural History Museum. Across the street from the Tube, and surrounded by great restaurants. This was the perfect home base for a weekend in London. The decor was charming and whimsical, sort of Alice in Wonderland with lots of bright colors and a bird theme which ran through the hotel. Our room was small as most London Hotels are, and finding a place to stow the luggage was a bit of a hat trick, but once we figured it out, everything was great. Although we never had breakfast at the hotel, we did have morning coffee and tea in the tea room every day. Delightful. Would return in an instant!

Positiv:: The hotel is truly lovely. I think we had the smallest room there which I booked unknowingly. But it worked just fine. The bed was so comfy. There were slippers and robes and the bathroom floor was heated. The daily tea was also very nice. I can't write enough to explain how exceptional the hotel, staff and location were. You will have to try it for yourself. Overall I plan to go back to London and stay here again.

Positiv:: I loved pretty much everything about the hotel. I stayed there twice in September. It was gorgeous inside, extremely well located near the South Kensington tube and nearby pubs and restaurants in Chelsea, the staff was simply wonderful and the rooms were pretty and very comfortable. Also loved the front room where you can grab a bite to eat and a glass of wine, and the breakfast room downstairs. The free water, juices and soft drinks provided in the bar fridge were a nice touch.

Negativ:: The gym was very well appointed in terms of weights, towels and free water but the space was too small in my view, it needed to be at least double the size as only 2-3 people would comfortably fit. Equally, the smaller hotel rooms (where my sisters stayed) have limited space if you are staying for more than 2 nights, but the hotel reception kindly advised us of this beforehand.

Negativ:: The rooms are not very sound proof we had extremely loud neighbors several nights. More of business hotel. There were not many things to help tourists book restaurants or get around. The staff didn't have guidance on hop on hop off buses or tours. We figured it out on our own but I think in other hotels there is more help for that type of thing.

Positiv:: We chose this hotel as it was near to the Royal Albert Hall, and we had bought tickets to a concert for my partner's birthday, which I had mentioned when booking. The hotel is in a perfect location and they kindly upgraded our room and gave my partner a birthday card, such a lovely gesture. The staff are very friendly and helpful; particularly Andrea on reception who was wonderful. We had a great stay and would recommend this hotel.

Negativ:: I didn’t have breakfast included in my booking which was fine, I paid for my breakfast and after getting my breakfast the host asked me for my room number, he then came back and told me it wasn’t included very rudely, I then gave him my receipt and he continued to yell at me so I gave him my receipt again and he just said oh, no sorry or anything. But still a lovely breakfast just didn’t feel very welcome

Negativ:: Don't buy the breakfast. At nearly £20 each you should expect a certain standard. This was verging on dangerous. Undercooked bacon and sausage. Scrambled eggs were watery and a strange colour. Everything was cold. Literally the worst breakfast I've had in over 35 years of travelling.

I asked for a high room and got it no problem - there's a load bar across the road and I didn't want to listen to the people outside all night. The view was great. It is clean and well maintained. Ok size room for normal standards, but this is London so compared to what you get in this city, it is enormous. Plus the pool and steam room were a nice bonus to clear the head in the morning.

Negativ:: Das Schlafsofa im Familienzimmer ist sehr unbequem. Man spürt jede einzelne Feder. Erst nach mehrfachen Bitten haben wir ein zusätzliche Decke bekommen - dann ging es. Das Zimmer ist recht eng - London halt. Der Pool ist klein, aber ok zum Ausspannen nach einem langen Reisetag. Die Armaturen im Bad sind nicht einwandfrei, der Abfluss riecht.

Negativ:: Hatten zuerst ein falsches Zimmer und mussten dann umziehen. Als wir das neue Zimmer am nächsten morgen bezogen haben War bis zum Abend das Zusatzbett nicht da. Aber Bach einen kurzen Besuch an der Rezeption war alles bestens.

Negativ:: The WiFi was basically not working at all unless you were in the lobby. The pool had no shallow end so not good for children or short people. The shower in the ladies locker room was broken. The pillows were not comfortable at all. The mattresses are firm which wasn’t good or bad. I wasn’t keen on the mojito my bartender made me either. I would absolutely stay here again but these were the things I didn’t like. I wouldn’t recommend eating at the hotel but the kids menu is good for kids (I have a 20 month old)

Negativ:: Breakfast was pretty tepid. Why can't you keep hot items properly hot? And why are crispy fried foods kept in a closed container so they just go soggy and greasy? I don't know why London hotels only offer English breakfasts too; the rest of Europe manages to provide a whole range of fresh, healthy choice and for much better price.

Its more like business hotel

Positiv:: Das Blakemore ist ein unglaubliches Hotel. Es ist extrem sauber, in jeder Hinsicht schön. Obwohl die Zimmer und die Lage perfekt waren - es ist der größte Vorteil, dass ira unglaubliche Mitarbeiter - die kompetent, höflich, gut versiert in ihren Jobs waren - und unglaublich kundenorientiert waren. Es ist ein tolles Hotel.

Positiv:: Unser Gepäck wurde vor dem Check-in und nach dem Check-out sicher aufbewahrt. Wir hatten ein Dreibett-/Familienzimmer für eine Woche. Das Zimmer war wirklich groß und geräumig - auch das Badezimmer. Das Hotelpersonal war durchgängig sehr freundlich. Dankeschön! Das Hotel selbst ist nur ein paar Gehminuten von der U-Bahn Queensway entfernt. Wenn man etwas länger geht, ist man bei der U-Bahn- und Zugstation Paddington. Dort in der Nähe sind richtig viele Restaurants und Pubs. Der Inder "The Mughal's" und der Italiener "Villa Rosa" sind sehr empfehlenswert. Die Restaurants in dieser Umgebung sind auch etwas günstiger als in der Innenstadt.

Positiv:: Das Blakemore ist ein unglaubliches Hotel. Es ist extrem sauber, in jeder Hinsicht schön. Obwohl die Zimmer und die Lage perfekt waren - es ist der größte Vorteil, dass ira unglaubliche Mitarbeiter - die kompetent, höflich, gut versiert in ihren Jobs waren - und unglaublich kundenorientiert waren. Es ist ein tolles Hotel.

Positiv:: Unser Gepäck wurde vor dem Check-in und nach dem Check-out sicher aufbewahrt. Wir hatten ein Dreibett-/Familienzimmer für eine Woche. Das Zimmer war wirklich groß und geräumig - auch das Badezimmer. Das Hotelpersonal war durchgängig sehr freundlich. Dankeschön! Das Hotel selbst ist nur ein paar Gehminuten von der U-Bahn Queensway entfernt. Wenn man etwas länger geht, ist man bei der U-Bahn- und Zugstation Paddington. Dort in der Nähe sind richtig viele Restaurants und Pubs. Der Inder "The Mughal's" und der Italiener "Villa Rosa" sind sehr empfehlenswert. Die Restaurants in dieser Umgebung sind auch etwas günstiger als in der Innenstadt.
Negativ:: Ein Nachteil auch in diesem Hotel ist, dass die Fenster nur ein Stück weit zum Öffnen gehen. Ist natürlich auch ein Sicherheitsthema. Das Frühstück hat uns gut geschmeckt. Für weitere 5,50 Pfund hat man die Möglichkeit ein erweitertes englisches Frühstück dazuzubuchen. Das warme Frühstück wollten wir aber nicht. Dennoch wäre eine Abwechslung fein gewesen. Eine ganze Woche immer das gleiche Frühstück ist fad.

Positiv:: Perfekte Lage. Nahe der Bus- und Metrostationen. Viele Pubs und Testaurants zu Fuss erreichbar. Habe mich docrt auch nachts sicher gefühlt. Unkompliziertes Hotel, sehr freundliches Personal. Gute Betten
Negativ:: Zimmer, vorallem Badezimmer war sehr dunkel.

Negativ:: noise isolation is not the best, it's a good thing it's in a quiet location , but still work in the street ( garbage disposal or something ) in the street outside woke my wife up some days ( we were in the 4th floor) mattress was a bit too hard for our taste ( we didn't complain about any of these to the hotel staff ... it could be that they could have done something not sure)

Positiv:: Nice, boutique hotel on a quiet street close to the Hyde park and 10 min walk from the Paddington station. We were upgraded to a jr. suite at no charge and it was a very pleasant bonus. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was welcoming a friendly.
Negativ:: They have 2 breakfast options: continental or hot English. We had a continental included in the price. There is a special person that instructs each guest on which breakfast they are entitled to have and that the hot breakfast is extra. Not very classy... I have a feeling they spend more money doing that and creating a negative vibe, as opposed to letting everyone have some scrambled eggs (how much can they cost?) and a good impression of the hotel.

Negativ:: Die Renovierungsarbeiten dauern noch an. Die Bauarbeiten fanden im Zimmer neben uns tagsüber an einem Wochentag statt. Am Wochenende gab es keine Bauarbeiten und es begann werktags zu einer angemessenen Stunde. Es gibt nur wenige Annehmlichkeiten im Hotel, aber wir wollten sie nicht nutzen. Meine Frau hat nicht so gut geschlafen, da sie ein Konturkissen benötigt und eines war nicht verfügbar.

Negativ:: The reception in 1st floor rather than ground floor is very inconvenient. There’s an elevator but they don’t tell you about it. So you see residents go down the stairs with luggage but no one tells them where the lift is hidden. Breakfast is very modest and cheap. The concierge doesn’t answer the phone. Also reception takes few calls to answer.

Negativ:: Für 2 Personen sind alle Zimmer im 4. Stock so winzig, dass man kaum die Koffer und die Kleidung irgendwo deponieren kann. Kofferöffnung am Bett möglich, sonst nicht. Obwohl wir um "nicht zu kleine Zimmer" gebeten hatten, haben wir das kleinste im 4. Stock erhalten. Leider waren damit die Aufenthalte im Zimmer eher eine Qual.

Negativ:: Room had too many beds in for the size. 3 tier beds meant no head room in middle bunk. I had been given a bottom bunk because I have a bad back but someone had taken it. As bottom bunks were on the floor O would have struggled with them as well, to stand up when I got out. People having sex in bunks next to me and person under me had the sour smell of someone who had not washed in a long time. I suspect the person was homeless and using the hostel for somewhere to live. Breakfast was ok. I stay in hostels a lot and have stayed in the Safestay in York which was much better and not so crammed together, cleaner too. The laminate on stairs to reception was lifting on each step which is a trip hazard.

Negativ:: Das Essen war leider ungenießbar ich würde es nicht weiterempfehlen. Keine Klimaanlage vorhanden sondern ein einzigen Ventilator für ein Zimmer mit 15 Betten. Es gab nur Heißwasser in der Dusche, fand ich nicht genial wenn draußen 27 Grad waren und das Zimmer stickig und warm war.

Negativ:: Showers are combined — male and female together (quite uncomfortable for both). There are lockers in rooms but you need to have your own padlock and a key (otherwise buy at the reception). No towel provided (again, can rent there). At the reception you get a card to access the hostel and your room, and you get a paper that they expect you to carry with you everywhere (so that they can identify you, if necessary). No one ever asked for that paper, but the idea itself is annoying. There is no microwave or a fridge to cook your own breakfast or store some food

Negativ:: I got a room on the lower floors, the room smelled stale, was a long walk away from the elevator and when I went to request a change I got attitude from the front desk staff Ana-Maria. I literally wanted to cancel and leave unfortunately as I had booked through booking.com I was told I needed to take that up with them. I asked for a room on a higher floor and was told she would only change my room if I either went back up and got my luggage or waited 30-40 mins for a concierge to help me. I was so upset. I went back up, gor my luggage and came back down. PS why dont they keep extra bottles of water in the room for your use?

Negativ:: The rooms were like death apartment in china crammed tiny with 4 people shoved in a closet the beds were kid size and im only 5'8, an to talk about the heat and mug build up in the rooms if you stay never turn off the fan. we left days early just to get away from the place, the bathrooms stink of mold in the floor and around the sinks , the shower room is almost as big as the room just with lament flooring as the bathroom floor not properly vented and stinks of mold, we were informed to put our bags in out beds with the cuts shut so they can come in and vacuum the floor and our stuff would be say (oyes to use the storage drawer under the bed its cost 4 extra to use it) when we came back the room stunk of my friends perfume she had just bought the other day and out bags look like they had be moved or tossed around my hard carrier on was push on top of my bookback which i lef the book bag on top bc of my laptop that was inside. after the 2nd night of staying there me and my friend agreed this place in my 11 years of seeing the world was the worst place i have ever stayed there is like 1 bathroom on each floor to be shared with 20 people it seems, i would have to hold it in to use the bathroom at 4 knowing everyone was asleep because it not you will have 2-5 people try to open the door while your in the middle of your business, there is no outside sign or even a slide panel to state that someone is in there on topping it off its a no refund if you leave early or don't stay which i was willing to leave early after the first few nights of staying there i wouldent want the money back anyway it would probley end up smelling like the bathrooms like mold, it didnt help ether i'm sure at most of the bathrooms are straight piped because you can smell straight sewer when it rains, for a place in Hyde Park as well keeped and clean area this place as well below that stander-ed.

Negativ:: We booked a 4 bed mixed dorm, which meant we were on the fourth floor, with no lift which means you will need to carry your bags and travel up and down to the very top of the building in order to get to your room. With this room we had a private bathroom, however this meant practically showering on the toilet, the shower curtain did NOTHING and meant the whole bathroom got flooded whenever anyone had a shower, including a wet toilet. During our stay a bunch of teenagers who sit on the next door neighbours steps and who smoke weed and play their music all night long whilst approaching people staying at the hostel asking if they want to buy drugs. We had spoken to someone who had stayed at the hostel months before and he said that they were also there on his previous stay, so something that always happens. The hostel staff don’t seem to do anything about them and they are allowed to come in and out of the common foyer as they please. There are lockers under the beds however they will charge you per day to be able to use it.

Negativ:: Leider waren die Zimmer echt nicht sauber. Na klar in einem 16 Mann Zimmer herrscht etwas Chaos. Aber es hat auch echt gestunken. Als ich mir einen locker für meine Wertsachen geholt habe, war der voller Müll, Essensreste und stickiger Klamotten (obwohl der Eigentümer ja schon lange ausgecheckt hat). Personal war geht so außer ein Herr, der mir wirklich weiter geholfen hat, als es Probleme mit dem locker gab.

Negativ:: I have been to many countries especially in Asia and I have always stay on dormitories but I was shocked when I stayed here. Usually, when I arrived at a hostel, the bed is already ready, there is a pillow and mattress, everything..but this hostel is not ready at all. They will just give you the mattress and pillow cover, you will do it yourself. Its not a big deal for me but I am just comparing it to other hostels where I stayed. and you will have to look for an empty bed yourself. Almost zero on Customer Service. I knew from the pictures that its triple decker bed but I was shocked because of the space, Its like they tell you to just lie down most of the time. and what shocked me the most is that they have lots of staff cleaning the hostel but they don't include the rooms. They don't vacuum or have air spray to get rid of the smell from the shoes of other guests. Most of the reception also don't know customer service. They just sat there. In other hostels, After someone checks in, they will guide the guest to the room and inform where his or her bed is. The reception's job is just to sit, check their computer, give keys, give mattress. I hope they learn from Korean Guesthouses on how they do Guesthouse business. Being a low budget dormitory is not an excuse to not being able to give good customer service.

The reception staff were very friendly and helpful we arrived at the hotel early in the morning check in was at 2 pm we asked if we could leave our suitcases and check in later also when we checked out we again asked if we could leave our cases and pick up early evening this was agreed so we spent all day seeing London without the burden of suitcases and as we were going on the London Eye this was a great help as your bags are searched. The breakfast was help yourself buffet style which included the full English, croissant, fruit juice,coffee etc all hot nice way to start your day sightseeing.

Positiv:: Sie waren sehr hilfreich, als ich mich früh einchecken ließ. Als ich fragte, wo ich einen Wandstecker für mein Telefon kaufen könnte, gab es mir einen, den ich über Nacht verwenden konnte.

Negativ:: I couldn’t get the a/c to work, the receptionist didn’t know the password to the wifi and when they gave it to me, I couldn’t get that to work either. And the shower drain backed up a little. Seem like easy fixes!

Supposed to have a sauna and swimming pool - they were both closed for repair 3. No restaurant. When I arrived looking for an evening meal I was offered a leaflet promoting a local takeaway. 4. Aircon in room not working - had to make do with a portable fan and leaving the window open on a noisy street

Positiv:: The location is easy walking distance from Paddington Train Station it was a very reasonable price for a London hotel the price also included full English breakfast. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful we arrived at the hotel early in the morning check in was at 2 pm we asked if we could leave our suitcases and check in later also when we checked out we again asked if we could leave our cases and pick up early evening this was agreed so we spent all day seeing London without the burden of suitcases and as we were going on the London Eye this was a great help as your bags are searched. The breakfast was help yourself buffet style which included the full English, croissant, fruit juice,coffee etc all hot nice way to start your day sightseeing.
Negativ:: The property is in need of a little TLC the walls /carpets need painting/ replacing the hotel looks a little tired it is however very clean and bed linen, towels changed daily I cannot offer criticism on the cleanliness of the hotel just that it needs upgrading. I would stay again when in London but I would make further research on other hotels in the area to compare price and facilities.

Negativ:: The place is crying for renovation works. Carpet on densely populated areas which means it's never really clean. Very uncomfortable mattress. Pictures here don't seem to belong there. Definitely not the room I stayed in.

Negativ:: Das Personal war wirklich unfreundlich und unhöflich. Ich habe ein Einzel Zimmer gebucht und es war nicht sauber und das Matratze sehr alt. Man konnte nicht gut schlafen. Mehr unglaublich war, dass im Zimmer gab keine Steckdose und im Flur nur eine von zehn hat funktioniert. Und wenn man da die Reisetasche lagern möchte und dann den Stadt kennenzulernen, soll £3 zahlen. Überhaupt nicht weiter zu empfehlen.
