Positiv:: The view from are room was immense. The friendliness and professionalism of the staff was second to none and I found the hotel everything a 5 star hotel should be

Positiv:: Ein absolut phantastischer Blick aus dem Zimmer auf Tower, Tower Bridge und die HMS Belfast mit dem Stadtbild aus Hochhäusern und historischen Gebäuden. Man kann wunderbar den Sonnenaufgang über der Stadt beobachten. Das geht alles zudem auch noch aus der Badewanne heraus. London liegt einem wirklich zu Füßen. Unvergleichlich. Es lohnt sich absolut, den Mehrpreis für ein Zimmer mit Stadtsicht zu investieren. Und im Pool kann man über der Kuppel von St. Paul’s schwimmen. Die Mitarbeiter sind wirklich sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir können das Hotel uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Es war ein unvergeßliches Erlebnis.

Negativ:: Schade ist, das Kinder nur zu eingeschränkten Zeiten in den Pool dürfen: es wäre wunderschön, den Morgen um 6:00 Uhr mit einem gemeinsamen (für andere Gäste nicht störenden) Schwimmen über den Dächern von London beginnen zu können. Letztlich aber verständlich, da erstaunlich viele Familien das Hotel nutzen.

Positiv:: The staff and level of service was excellent. The room was very stylish and comfortable with fantastic views across the city.

Negativ:: The lighting in the room was not very good. The lifts were slow. Rip off alcohol prices in the Gong bar.

Positiv:: ..it's all about the view! Our rooms looked over St Pauls, the cocktails looked over tower of London, the (excellent) meal at Ting's looked over canary wharf. Wonderful. It was great use the pool. A great experience.

Negativ:: I had made the booking, but my parents were paying, this seemed to cause quite a bit of confusion with payments, rooms, and names, this must have happened before, and should have been a bit easier.

Positiv:: Cityblick - 40. Etage - bestes Wetter - einfach ein Erlebnis. Ansonsten der gewohnt perfekte Shangri-La- Standard.

Negativ:: Beim Checkin wurde mein Name gleich zwei Mal nicht gefunden, das Frühstück war eher dürftig

Negativ:: We had to leave.

Positiv:: There was no room on executive lounge for breakfast but we were seated on the 10th floor which was actually better. Breakfast was decent and service was lovely. The Spa facility was nice too, quite basic and small but cute, clean and better than nothing. The roof top bar was definitely a bonus too but be sure to reserve a table as gets really busy on the weekend.

Negativ:: We tried to reserve a space on roof top bar when we booked but no one got back to us so we didn't end up getting a table. I also think the room should be left with more water or at least each floor have a water/ice machine but this is only a mild suggestion rather than necessity.

Positiv:: Sehr, sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter, saubere Zimmer, vor allem das Restaurant und die Terasse oben am 10-ter Stock sind top.

Negativ:: Sehr schlechte Luft im Zimmer, trotz tagsüber geöffnetem Fenster. Es roch im Zimmer nach Abluft, was nicht so toll war. Außerdem ist die Lüftungsanlage im Freien so laut, dass man den Lärm im Zimmer trotz geschlossener Fenster hörte. Und der Lärm bei geöffnetem Fenster gar nicht zu ertragen ist. Die Nespressomaschine war defekt. Die Fußbodenheizung im Bad war ebenfalls defekt. Die Zimmer insgesamt sind für ein fünf Sterne Hotel sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Es gehört unseres Erachtens renoviert. Der Zimmerservice reinigt außerdem sehr oberflächlich und benutzte Löffel und Gläser waren nicht sauber. Obst wurde nicht immer aufgefüllt und auch das Wasser blieb einmal aus. Auf der empfohlenen Dachterrasse war täglich viel los (Party). Hier fühlten wir uns als Hotelgäste leider nicht wohl. Obwohl jeder einzelne Punkt u.U. nicht tragisch erscheint, waren alle Aspekte gemeinsam gesehen leider nicht so toll.

Negativ:: The bed was way too soft

Positiv:: Bed really comfy, room spacious and very clean, excellent on site facilities. Rooftop bar was fantastic.

Negativ:: Our room was on the 9th floor, underneath the rooftop bar - we were not advised of this on arrival and found it hard to get to sleep for the noise. Spa area was looking a little tired.

Positiv:: Great service. Nice views from the bar at the top of teh building

Positiv:: We were let down by booking via Amoma and not realising we had lost our previous booking and money due to the company collapsing. Having a quick search on booking.com and the Montcalm came to our rescue. Perfectly located and good value for a last minute panic when we found ourself stranded in London without anywhere to stay at 9pm!

Positiv:: Everything in the hotel was amazing other than the mini bar.

Negativ:: Only dislike was the extortion on the mini bar I was charged and it took them forever to refund me my deposit.

Positiv:: Everything was wonderful

Negativ:: There was only a small window in the room that wouldn’t open.

Positiv:: Das Frühstück war lecker mit grosser Auswahl. Die Mitarbeitenden waren überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend sei es an der Rezeption beim Frühstück oder in der Bar. Die Zimmer sind zweckmässig eingerichtet, die Badezimmer super, vor allem die Dusche. Wir haben uns einfach nur wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Positiv:: Das Hotel ist sehr sauber und liegt sehr zentral. Das Zimmer war sehr gut klimatisiert und sauber. Leider hatte man keine schöne Aussicht, man hat direkt auf die Hauswand des Nachbarhauses geguckt. Der Pool schließt leider schon um 22:00 Uhr, etwas knapp wenn man London erkundet. Wir haben es einen Abend um 21:30 geschafft den Pool aufzusuchen, wir hatten den Pool ganz für uns alleine und konnten uns kurz erfrischen und ein paar Bahnen schwimmen. Das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen.

Negativ:: Die Aussicht aus dem Fenster.

Positiv:: I booked our stay as a 30th birthday gift for my girlfriend and the staff went above and beyond to make it a special occasion; helping me make secret preparations, assisting me with an early check-in and even giving us complimentary prosecco and cupcakes. The room had one of the comfiest beds I've ever slept in and we spent a wonderful day at the beautiful rooftop Lido, swimming in the pool, taking in the view of Shoreditch and eating a delicious dinner of oysters and mac 'n' cheese in the restaurant. A birthday to remember; thank you so much to everyone at The Curtain!

Negativ:: I booked a specific room and was given a key for an apparent upgrade, was not an upgrade they just didn’t have the room I booked. Had sent special requests stating the room I wanted and drove 80 miles to stay. Took an hour of sitting in 2 other empty rooms and a few tears shed by the time we settled it was 10.30pm and we were top tired to go out to eat . The man was not as helpful as he could of been I felt like I was having a battle with him..., the rooms are beautiful and clean but was not impressed with the customer service at all, the gym is amazing. Burned my foot pretty bad on the metal things I’m the shower which are labelled outside but once your having a steam they become invisible. Have stayed before and had a perfect stay which is why I went back but overall this time I was disappointed

Positiv:: Das Gym ließ keine Wünsche offen - moderne Geräte, Freihantelbereich und Cardio (Fahrrad/Treppensteiger). Die Betten waren sehr komfortabel, die Minibar gut ausgestattet. Schöne Regendusche!

Negativ:: Das Frühstück war 0815 bis schlecht. Aber für England wohl normal. Es gab Rührei aus der Packung, Bohnen und labberige Würstchen - jeden Tag. Das Müsli war mit Früchten essbar, ich würde das nächste Mal ohne Frühstück buchen - umliegende Cafés haben Besseres zu bieten! Das Ambiente auf der Endetage mit Pool und der gute Espresso Macchiato (kostet extra) hat das maue Frühstücksangebot allerdings wieder aufgewertet.

Positiv:: Great hotel, in perfect location for exploring Shoreditch. Short tube to the city and your in the thick of the west end.

Positiv:: Brilliant location in Hackney. Friendly check-in, I was upgraded. Outstanding fixtures and details in the room. Fantastic shower with in-built sauna functionality.

Negativ:: The service in the Lido restaurant was a little thoughtless compared to the excellent hotel staff.
